Justin Bieber announced that he will be releasing a song called “Friends” on Thursday. “Can we still be friends…,” Justin tweeted. “New music. Thursday noon.” The track is a collaboration with BloodPop, who produced “Mark My Words,” “I’ll Show You,” “Children,” “Hit the Ground” and his hit “Sorry” from Justin’s last album Purpose. While it isn’t clear whether “Friends” is technically Bieber’s song or BloodPop’s, if Bieber is the lead artist on the track, it marks his first single as a lead artist in almost 18 months.
Bieber recently cancelled the remainder of his Purpose World Tour, noting in an Instagram post that he wants to keep his career “sustainable.”
Taylor Swift won her countersuit against David Mueller, the former DJ who groped her during a meet-and-greet four years ago. On Friday, a judge dismissed Taylor from the lawsuit . . . saying that there was no proof that she’d done anything wrong. The rest of the case went to the jury. They deliberated for less than four hours yesterday, before ruling that Taylor’s team and her mother were also NOT guilty of getting Mueller fired by making false accusations.The jury believed those accusations, because they ruled in favor of Taylor’s countersuit, and found Mueller guilty of sexual assault. They awarded her the symbolic ONE DOLLAR she was asking for in damages.
After the verdict, Taylor released this statement: Quote, “I acknowledge the privilege that I benefit from in life, in society, and in my ability to shoulder the enormous cost of defending myself in a trial like this.”My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard.” She also said that she would make donations to organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves. Mueller hasn’t commented.
On Monday night’s season four premiere of Bachelor in Paradise, DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios getting flirty ahead of the rumored scandal that shut down production for a month. While producers didn’t pull the plug on filming until the final minutes of the episode, the top of the first hour saw DeMario and Corinne throwing back drinks while bonding over their New York roots and making out in the pool. At one point, Corinne even noted that she and DeMario were “on the same page.” Production on the Mexico set of was shut down earlier this summer after a producer claimed that DeMario had intercourse with and performed oral sex on Olympios despite her being too drunk to give consent. Warner Brothers later revealed that an internal investigation found the assault didn’t take place.
Aaron Carter alarmed fans on Monday when he gave an emotional radio interview and shared that he recently taped an episode of The Doctors that will feature “a big reveal” about his health. The 29-year-old singer, who openly weeped as he talked about his bisexuality and his estranged relationship with older brother Nick, later apologized on Twitter for getting emotional during his on-air appearance. “Be safe my loves,” he continued. “I’m sorry but I can’t do this twitter social media stuff right now. I’ll check in with you in a few months.” However, an hour later, Carter shared a lengthy message about his exit. “I’m praying for the people who truly do have terminal illnesses and I’m praying even more for the people who make cruel jokes about me having terminal illnesses,” he wrote. “The people who make jokes about me having chronic diseases are really the people who need help.”

Page Six reports that the two were seen at the Museum of Modern Art in New York on Monday. They were also seen riding bicycles with DiCaprio’s posse over the weekend. A rep for DiCaprio insists that the actor and Rae aren’t dating, but it should be pointed out that all of his model companians are referred to as ” a friend.” That is, until he moves on to the next friend.
