Julia Louis-Dreyfus took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal she’s finished her second round of chemotherapy after being diagnosed with breast cancer last month. “Chemo #2: finito. We are NOT f**king around here,” the Veep star captioned a photo of herself in sunglasses and a black hoodie jacket along with a fake mustache drawn above her upper lip. The 56-year-old actress went on to thank pop star Katy Perry, as well as co-stars Tony Hale and Timothy Simons, for being “hilarious and loving inspiration” amid her cancer battle. She also quoted Perry’s 2013 hit single “Roar.”
My source tells me Chelsea Handler wants to replace her best friend, Jennifer Aniston with Gwen Stefani. Yes, apparently, we are in grad 2. My source says Chelsea loves celebrities, and whether she cares to admit it or not she likes the way she feels when she is around famous people. Currently, she has her eyes set on Gwen. They are already pals, but Chelsea has intensified things. Apparently, she is texting and calling Gwen non-stop. The problem is, Chelsea is single and a bit of a partier where Gwen is a mom of three, in a relationship, and is a bit of a homebody. I feel like it’s less than a perfect match.
Justin Timberlake penned a sweet love letter to his wife Jessica Biel for their fifth-wedding anniversary yesterday. He wrote, “Today is even more special for me because five years ago, on this day, I became the luckiest man in the world when I exchanged vows with my best friend.” He also posted a video of himself singing Leon Russell’s 1970 classic “A Song For You,” which the couple had their first dance to. “To my beautiful Jess: You have taught me so much about what a true love means. I can’t put into words what these last five years have meant to me, so… ‘Listen to the melody ‘cause my love is in there hiding.'” The singer-actor added the hashtag, #Happy5thAnniversaryWifey. Justin and Jessica tied the knot on October 19, 2012, in Puglia, Italy.
Fans of Charlie Puth are convinced the singer makes references to Selena Gomez in the video for his new song “How Long.” The visual opens with Charlie dancing around Los Angeles until, just after the two-minute mark, he becomes entranced by a painting of a girl with long, dark hair holding a rose that looks suspiciously like Selena Gomez. Charlie and Selena collaborated on 2016’s “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” and were linked romantically the year before–until Selena made it clear they were just “friends.”
Blac Chyna’s mother Tokyo Toni is suing Wendy Williams for $1 million, claiming the talk show host’s comments have caused her “stress and depression” and a “lifetime of pain.” Tokyo filed a handwritten defamation lawsuit on October 5 against Wendy and her producers over the constant “negative light” that Wendy has cast upon her. Specifically, Tokyo claims Wendy has caused her a “lifetime of pain and suffering” and says she had to quit her jobs as an Uber and Lyft driver because of the stress. Tokyo is representing herself in the lawsuit.
A mechanical malfunction left Katy Perry stuck in mid-air during her concert in Nashville on Wednesday. “This is the first time I’ve been stuck in space,” she joked as she sat above the crowd on a model of the planet Saturn. “I know I’m kind of a space cadet, but actually, this thing is stuck. What should I do? Should I tell some jokes, should I tell some stories, should I just sing another song?” The pop star added, “You’d better put your phones up, it’s a YouTube moment!” Katy was eventually lowered down, but realized that her platform could not actually land on the ground without crushing her audience. “I guess I’m just going to have to get down and walk amongst my people,” she declared before diving into the crowd and then walking back toward the stage. “This is what you get for trying to bring out all of space to Nashville.”
Celebrities often boast about juggling a career and motherhood, but Kate Hudson admits that she relies very heavily on a nanny, personal assistant, business assistant, and even a gardener. “Without Team Kate, I’d be screwed,” she declares in a new interview. “I’m a single mom of two!” The 38-year-old actress goes on to note that her mother Goldie Hawn rarely assists with her sons, ages 13 and 6. “She’s not the kind of grandma you can call, like, ‘Hey, Mom, can you watch the kids?'” Kate explains. “Are you kidding? She’s in India with her foundation or New York on a speaking engagement. She’s always working.”
In a new interview, Ed Sheeran opened up about the accident that caused him to postpone upcoming tour dates. For a new episode of The Jonathan Ross Show airing Saturday, Ed detailed his recent bike accident. “I broke my wrist, my elbow and my rib. I came off a bike quite fast, a bicycle, a pedal bike. I was in Suffolk [going down a really steep hill]. The thing is, when it happened, I got up and was like, ‘That hurt’ and then cycled to the pub. Went home, went to sleep and then woke up at five o’clock in the morning in a lot of pain,” he said on the U.K. talk show. “And then went to the hospital.”
Upon seeking medical attention, Ed was persuaded to postpone upcoming shows in Asia after learning the injuries could prevent him from playing guitar in the future if he continued before recovering; he is expected to take four weeks off to recuperate.
On whether he is accident prone, Ed said, “I’m quite a clumsy guy anyway… It’s come more since I’ve found success. I remember before a show in 2013 I had to have 12 stitches in my hand because I was playing drums with two beer bottles at about four o’clock in the morning and smashed my hand. Then I put my foot in a boiling geyser in Iceland, I had my face cut open, I’m a very clumsy person.”
Prince Harry reportedly took Meghan Markle to Buckingham Palace to meet Queen Elizabeth II over tea last Thursday. According to my source, Harry requested something that was informal to ease Meghan’s nerves, so they met in the Queen’s private sitting room that overlooks the palace gardens.
The woman who caught on tape last month canoodling with Kevin Hart in Las Vegas is not amused by the comic using the situation to promote his upcoming comedy tour. Montia Sabbag and her lawyer, Lisa Bloom, feel that Kevin making light of the situation is “very distasteful,” especially in light of the harassment she’s received. “This stuff takes a toll mentally and physically, and now with this tour it’s like this whole thing was a joke.”
