Serena Williams is amazing. She is strong, stronger than I ever thought. Serena and her baby daughter Alexis Olympia are on the cover of Vogue’s February issue. In the accompanying interview Serena revealed that after giving birth via emergency C-section, she experienced shortness of breath–which turned out to be a symptom of blood clots in her lungs. After that, a coughing fit opened up her C-section wound, and as doctors were repairing that with surgery, they discovered a hematoma had broken in her abdomen. When she and husband Alexis Ohanian finally returned home, Serena was bedridden for the next six weeks. Thankfully, her husband was more than happy to help his wife out, but of course, Serena felt awful that she was not able to do everything for her daughter.
“Girls” creator Lena Dunham opened up about her breakup with Jack Antonoff on Instagram stories. In the video, she calls her love for him “eternal” and says she is still wearing the ring he gave her. “I’m wearing this ring that Jack gave me and I’ll always wear it, because love is a really cool, powerful, eternal thing and it doesn’t have to be defined the way we in Western culture define it as beginnings and ends,” Lena said. The pair split up after five years together.
Meanwhile Jack Antonoff is reportedly dating someone new.
Last month, Catt Sadler resigned from E! News after learning about a “massive” pay disparity between herself and her male co-host Jason Kennedy. Several A-List actresses came to her defense, including some on the red carpet at the Golden Globes. In response, an NBC exec said they had “different roles and therefore different salaries.” Catt says that is not true. She told The Hollywood Reporter. “My experience, frustration and disparity was based on Jason Kennedy and myself being apples to apples.” She continued explaining that they came to the Network at the same time and did similar jobs. She added, “For people to use the argument that Giuliana somehow made more money than Jason, that comparison doesn’t work. They’re apples and oranges. She joined before him, she was managing editor, she had multiple shows on the network.”
Mariah Carey became the first viral moment of 2018 when she stopped her New Year’s Eve performance to request tea — only to learn there was none available. “They told me there would be tea,” she declared. The diva is well aware that people have since been quoting her on social media and even jokingly tweeted from the Golden Globes, “”Are they serving tea here?” Mariah has now unveiled a merchandise line inspired by her tea-mergency. It features t-shirts baring the line “I Was Told There Would Be Tea” and “#IFoundMyTea. It also features a mug — to hold your hot tea, obviously.
Harvey Weinstein and his estranged wife Georgina Chapman have agreed on an eight-figure divorce settlement. Per the ex-couple’s prenuptial agreement, Harvey must pay Georgina $300,000 in spousal support for each year of the nearly 10-year marriage. After a decade, that figure jumps to $400,000. Georgina will also get a slice of their marital assets and other payments, which include a $15 million West Village townhouse and a $12 million Hamptons beach house. She will also get primary custody of their two children. Georgina announced she was leaving Harvey in October, after reports of his sexual abuse surfaced.
In a teaser for the premiere of the Netflix show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman, former President Barack Obama discusses the time he showcased his dance moves for Prince. “This was probably three or four months before he died, and Prince asks Sasha [Obama] to come up and dance, and she’s an excellent dancer,” he recalls. “Then Sasha pulls me up, which surprises me because she always mocks my dancing, but I have dad moves.” Obama goes on to say that “staying in the pocket” is key for dads to dance without being embarrassing. “You’ve got to stay in the pocket because I think everybody in here knows dads who get out of the pocket,” he explains. “And they’re trying stuff that they can’t really pull off. And you know, they start doing like karate kicks and all kinds of stuff.”
Why has Kylie Jenner not addressed the pregnancy rumours surrounding her? According to my source it’s because she wants to “keep this one aspect of her life private.” My source says, “She’s very happy about the pregnancy but she doesn’t want to share this with the world.” That is understandable considering she spent her adolescent life on television and has been famous for over 10 years now. She’s kind of earned the right to say “No thanks.” Kylie is 25 and the reported baby daddy is Travis Scott, who she has been dating since April 2016.
Singer Seal is not happy with Oprah Winfrey. Following Oprah’s highly publicized speech at the 2018 Golden Globes, Seal is speaking out against Oprah and the nature of her connection to Harvey Weinstein. On his Instagram he wrote, “Oh I forgot, that’s right..you’d heard the rumours but you had no idea he was actually serially assaulting young stary-eyed actresses who in turn had no idea what they were getting into. My bad. #SanctimoniousHollywood,” he captioned the post, accompanied by a meme featuring Oprah and Harvey at events together. Oprah previously spoke out about the allegations late in 2017: “I’ve been processing the accounts of Harvey Weinstein’s hideous behavior and haven’t been able to find the words to articulate the magnitude of the situation,” she said on her Facebook.
Taylor Swift has revealed that the music video for “End Game,” featuring Ed Sheeran and Future, will premiere today! Teasers are already on line! I am very excited!
