On Monday night’s episode of American Idol, judge Katy Perry suffered a major wardrobe malfunction. The awkward moment occurred during an audition by Michelle Sussett, a Venezuelan dancing queen and self-described “show-woman” who asked the judges to get out of their seats and dance with her. At one moment, Katy fell to the ground and her short, sparkly dress slipped up–leading producers to blur out her lady bits. Surprisingly, Michelle was given a golden ticket to Hollywood for her strange performance. The episode also found ladies man (and women’s shoe salesman) William Casanova earning a golden ticket for his soulful cover of “A Song for You” by Donny Hathaway. The night ended with an inspiring performance from formerly-paralyzed singer David Francisco, whose version of Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely” brought Katy to tears.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared to be unimpressed by Liam Payne’s performance at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on Monday. Video shows Harry looking bored as the former One Direction member sings a cover of John Mayer’s “Waiting on the World to Change.” After Liam wraps up and receives a round of applause from the crowd, he fist-bumps the musicians onstage with him. Harry can then be seen turning to make a face and raise his eyebrow at Meghan, prompting her to burst into giggles.
During a recent interview, Matt LeBlanc was asked by Steve Harvey whether fans would ever get a reboot of Friends, he said no. Basically he said they are all well past that sweet spot that happens between 20 and 30 years old… in fact, what he said exactly was, “Nobody wants to see Joey get his colonoscopy!”
Amy Schumer has shared the hilarious reason she refuses to take her new husband Chris Fischer’s last name. Amy recently shared an Instagram Story in which she and her father Gordon discussed her marriage. “Are you still Amy Schumer or are you Amy Fischer now?” he asked her. “I’m not Amy Fischer,” she responded. “Do you remember who Amy Fischer is? The Long Island Lolita! Yeah, no, I’m keeping my last name. I’m keeping your last name.” Amy Fisher was a high school student who shot her lover’s wife in New York in 1992, then served seven years in prison for assault. Since being released, she’s starred in adult films like Fatal Seduction and Seduced by a Cougar 22.
Sharon Stone doesn’t believe the women who accused James Franco of inappropriate behavior. During a recent interview on the WTF podcast, the actress called James the “loveliest, kindest, sweetest, most elegant, nicest” person and said she was “appalled” by the lack of “due process” regarding the allegations. Sharon, who played a small role in James’ The Disaster Artist, also said that one of the accusers who claimed James forced her to perform sex was his girlfriend at the time. Stone wondered how she could be offended when a guy she’s dating asks for sex. She continued, “You go out with them [men], they bring you home for a good-night kiss and they grab your hand and put it on their penis. I don’t think they’re trying to sexually harass me, I think they’re just incredibly stupid and awkward.” Rather than accuse such men of harassment, Stone said she’d tell them, “Please don’t ever call me again, because you’re too stupid to date.”
Khloe Kardashian is prepping to be a first-time mama by registering for more than $90,000 worth of baby goodies. Khloe’s list includes a $10,000 crib, a $365 Versace baby blanket, a $600 Versace changing bag, and a Givenchy Kids leather jacket worth $1,450.
Julianne Hough has a secret weapon to keep her teeth white . . . and it’s probably not something you’d expect. Turmeric.
Turmeric is a seasoning that you might very well have in your spice rack . . . and the reason it seems like a weird choice is because it’s reddish-brown. But lately it’s been getting a reputation for lightening both teeth and skin.
Julianne says, “You’d think it would be the opposite and it’d stain your teeth, but it actually makes them whiter. Turmeric is the bomb. Y’all should try it.”
Tori Spelling recently issued a cryptic message on Instagram that appeared to address the fact that she was visited by the police three times in just a nine-day period. “I’m strong, I’m amazing, I’m beautiful, I’m wonderful, I’m worthy, I’m loved, I’m brave, I’m sweet, I’m happy, I’m me,” she wrote. Tori, her husband Dean McDermott and their five children were escorted by police out of a Los Angeles restaurant last Friday. Police were first called to the family’s home on March 1 after someone called 911 to report a verbal dispute. And McDermott called 911 on March 11 to request that someone check on his wife’s well-being.
Meanwhile, I hear that Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth are reportedly revisiting their roots with a new show based on their hit Beverly Hills, 90210 show. The show was rebooted once already, as 90210 from 2008-2013. The show is being developed at CBS and will feature Tori and Jennie playing exaggerated versions of themselves.
At least SOMEBODY listened when Frances McDormand said the words “inclusion rider” during her Oscar speech. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s Pearl Street production company is going to start using them on future projects.
Michael B. Jordan announced last week that he was doing the same.
