Cardi B deleted her Instagram account over the weekend, shortly after responding to insulting comments made by Azealia Banks in a new radio interview. She called Cardi an “illiterate, untalented rat” and also labeled her a “caricature of a black woman that black women themselves would never be able to get away with.”
In responding to those comments, Cardi wrote on her account: “I’m from the hood. I speak how I speak I am how I am. I did not choose to be famous, people choose me!” Then she wiped her account clean, but not before adding, “I never asked to be a example or a role model I don’t want to change my ways because I’m famous that’s why I just mind my business. GOODBYE.”
Tina Knowles has revealed that she sent Beyonce and Solange to therapy as young girls in order to help them deal with Beyonce’s superstardom. She says she wanted to make sure that Beyonce would always be sensitive to Solange. Tina also said she made sure to have quality time with her daughters individually. “I had days that I devoted to each of them.”
She said, “I just spent a lot of time teaching my girls not to be insecure just because there was another girl around because you are the most beautiful thing going. I think that’s really important.”
Dwayne Johnson took to Instagram on Mother’s Day to share a sweet tribute to his girlfriend and mother of his two children, Lauren Hashian. He wrote: “I’m in constant respect and grateful awe of all the things this incredible mama accomplishes on a daily basis.” He wrote a lot of things, but ended it wit this:
“Take a bow and Queen it up–you’re an amazing mama and amazing mama’s make this world go around.”
According to my source, Meghan Markle’s father Thomas is going to get a crash course on Royal etiquette ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry. Thomas is not used to Royal protocols or attending posh events, especially not on the level of a Royal wedding. But the training he is going to get in the run up to the big day is not snobbery it will actually make him feel comfortable as it is designed to demystify Royal protocols and traditions so he will not be confused about how she act in front of royals. The etiquette lessons will cover everything from how he should act when he meets the Queen – by bowing his head and not touching her for example, and how he should start conversations with royals. He will also be taught the traditions of Royal weddings and how to eat the banquet that will be served as there will be a huge amount of cutlery and glasses involved at the meal.”
In other wedding news, I have heard that Meghan Markle’s “Suits” husband, co-star Patrick J. Adams has been invited to the royal wedding. Gabriel Macht, who plays boss Harvey Specter on the legal drama, also received a coveted invite and will be attending.
Khloe Kardashian took to Instagram yesterday to document her first Mother’s Day as the proud mama of baby True. Khloe shared photos of two epic floral arrangements that read “Mommy” and gold balloons that spelled out her nickname “Koko.” Khloe, whose daughter turned one month old on Saturday, gushed, “I feel so loved.” It’s not clear whether the gifts are from her cheating baby daddy Tristan Thompson.
Rihanna had a hilarious response to whether she’s attending Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding next weekend. The funny moment occurred when a reporter asked her if she’ll be a guest. She responded by questioning why she would be invited to the wedding, to which the reporter replied, “I don’t know. You met him.” Without missing a beat, Rihanna said with a laugh, “OK, you met me. You think you’re coming to my wedding? Am I coming to yours?” As People notes, Rihanna and Prince Harry met in Barbados in November 2016, when the pair took HIV tests together to raise awareness on World AIDS Day.
Kylie Jenner’s hot bodyguard Tim Chung has shut down rumours that he is the real father of her and Travis Scott’s 3-month-old daughter Stormi. “I am a very private person and would normally never answer to gossip and stories that are so ridiculous that they are laughable,” Chung wrote on Instagram over the weekend. “Out of deep respect for Kylie, Travis, their daughter together and their families, I would like to set the record straight and say that my interactions with Kylie and her family have been limited in strictly a professional capacity only.” Chung, who also works as an officer for the Los Angeles Police Department, added, “There is no story here and I ask that the media no longer include me in any narrative that is incredibly disrespectful to their family.”
