On yesterday’s episode of The Late Late Show, Shawn Mendes appeared in the latest installment of host James Corden’s popular segment “Carpool Karaoke.” During a drive through Los Angeles, the two belted out songs like “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back” and “Mercy.” But the highlight was when Shawn revealed that he is a diehard Harry Potter fan. James asked, “On a scale of 10 being crazed superfan and zero is, hate it, never seen it, where are you?” Shawn replied, “9.5.” The he told James, “I have a whole book at home that I wrote all the spells in and stuff.” He also talked about how starstruck and sweaty he was when he met Emma Watson.
According to my source, Heidi Klum “is dying to replace Kim Cattrall in the stalled Sex and the City 3 movie.” Heidi, who’s 16 years younger than the 61-year-old Kim, has reportedly been “kissing up to Sarah Jessica Parker.” Heidi thinks she would be perfect for the role of Samantha or another sexy character to complete the foursome.”
Days after it was reported that Scott Disick was seen getting close to an unknown woman at Kanye West’s listening party in Wyoming, and then hooking up with another woman in Miami, it was reported that the 35-year-old father of three and 19-year-old daughter of Lionel Richie broke up this past weekend after nine months of dating. But, now I am hearing that the two “are still very much together.” I’m not sure about Miami, but apparently the girl in Wyoming was just a pal…k, I don’t put my hands up the shirts of my pal!
Ahead of withdrawing from the French Open due to an injury, Serena Williams shut down a sexist question asked by a reporter. The awkward moment occurred when Inside Tennis reporter Bill Simons asked Serena whether her loss to Maria Sharapova at Wimbledon in 2004 was a result of her being intimidated by Maria’s beauty–a suggestion made at the time by now-President Donald Trump. Bill also revealed that he had been waiting 14 years to ask the question. Serena said, “I honestly don’t have any thoughts about that. I can’t say I have been intimated by anyone. That’s all. That’s it.” The tennis star’s husband Alexis Ohanian also chimed in on Twitter, writing, “Waited 14 years… for this? Pro-top: Wait at least another 14 more years before asking another question.” Bill the reporter has since apologized.
On Monday’s episode of Ellen, Mindy Kaling opened up about taking her newborn daughter Katherine to Oprah’s house for a screening of A Wrinkle in Time. Mindy said she had been really fussy the whole way there and Mindy thought to herself, ‘Oh my god, am I going to be the person that brings a screaming baby into Oprah’s cathedral of beauty and art?’ When they arrived she gave her daughter Katherine a little talking to saying, ‘Please. Please. You have no idea how high the stakes are right now.’ Then they walked through the door, her eyes widened and she stopped crying like she knew she was in Oprah’s house. Mindy said she coyly smiled and acted adorable for the next four hours.
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra basically confirmed romance rumours over the weekend by leaving flirtatious comments on each other’s Instagram accounts. Nick liked a photo of Priyanka laughing over a burger at In-N-Out and wrote, “That smile” along with a heart emoji. Meanwhile, Priyanka left heart and fire emojis on a photo of Nick. The 36-year-old actress and 25-year-old singer have been spotted together on several occasions since attending the Met Gala together last year.
“Build that wall!” Taylor Swift has received approval to erect a new, 14-foot wall around her Beverly Hills mansion “in order to improve security and privacy on the property due to multiple attempts by people to enter the property over the existing, lower perimeter wall.” That “lower” wall is only seven-feet tall, and failed to prevent a man from trespassing in April. The new wall will also include ivy and bushes to prevent would-bee peepers.
Reese Witherspoon is returning to her defining role as Elle Woods in the “Legally Blonde” movies.
She’s in talks to do “Legally Blonde 3”. There aren’t any other details for now . . . so it’s unclear which other cast members might be back, or what it’ll be about.
Reese did the first “Legally Blonde” 17 years ago, in 2001. Then, the sequel “Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde” came out in 2003.
It is being reported that ABC is moving ahead with a new “Roseanne” show without Roseanne Barr. They say an announcement is “imminent,” and might even come this week.
It’s still unclear how it’s going to work . . . but like the previous rumours, they say it could focus on Sara Gilbert’s character Darlene. There’s no official comment from anyone involved with the show.
Sara did address the cancellation on “The Talk” yesterday though. It wasn’t anything earth-shattering… she said she’s proud of the show, and it’s sad to see it end this way . . . but she stands behind ABC’s decision.
