Nick Jonas allegedly confirmed he’s engaged to Priyanka Chopra while speaking to a fan at an event in New York City this week. A fan at this party he was at congratulated him on his engagement, and he was heard graciously responding, “Thanks, man.” While Priyanka was supposed to be at the event, her Instagram shows that she’s been in Mumbai the past few days. Nick’s brother Joe stood in as his date. Nick reportedly popped the question in London on July 18, Chopra’s 36th birthday, after just two months of dating.
What was up with Justin Bieber’s crying jag? On Tuesday, Justin and fiancée Hailey Baldwin were photographed crying on a bike ride in New York. On Wednesday night, Justin told a paprazzo that he was choked up about his upcoming nuptials thanks to a book! After the videographer asked why he was crying, Justin replied, “This!” He then held up a copy of a self-help book by Timothy Keller called The Meaning of Marriage. “You have good days and you have bad days,” Justin added. “It’s not real if you don’t have any bad days.”.
During an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers earlier this week, Seth Rogen revealed that he used to have the same personal trainer as Kanye West and that he would often have strange interactions with Kanye at the gym. “Several times, he would show up early. And he’s a big fan of our movies,” Rogen recalled. “And he would literally follow me around as I worked out and quote my own movie scenes to me, which is so weird.” Rogen continued, “He’s just like, ‘So McLovin, that’s a funny joke.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, man. I don’t know what to tell you.'”
Demi Lovato reportedly left Cedars-Sinai hospital over the weekend and entered an in-patient rehab facility. She posted a statement to her Instagram page, saying in part, “I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery. The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side. I will keep fighting.”
Meanwhile, I have heard that Ellen DeGeneres has invited Demi Lovato to stay at her home while she recovers from her overdose. Ellen adores Demi and it breaks her heart to see her singer this way. Ellen told Demi that their beach house [in 0=”Santa” 1=”Barbra,” 2=”Calif.”] is hers whenever she wants it. It’s close to nature and the perfect place to escape the pressures of Hollywood. They’ve also extended an invitation for her to stay at their L.A. place.
Another shot, fired. In recent days, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been filing papers in court against each other, with Angelina accusing Brad of failing to provide “meaningful support” to their six kids, and Brad arguing that he gave Angelina $1.3 million in outright support, plus an $8 million loan.
Angelina Jolie is considering filing a palimony suit against Brad Pitt in order to go after all of the money he earned during their entire relationship, at least, that’s what I hear. (The pair got together in 2005, but didn’t marry until 2014). Brad’s net worth is roughly $240 million, according to reports, while Angelina’s is $160 million.
And in a statement to InStyle, Angelina’s lawyer Samantha Bley DeJean continued to rail against Brad, claiming it was his fault he had to loan her the $8 million for a new house in the first place. “What has been filed by Brad’s side today is a blatant attempt to obfuscate the truth and distract from the fact that he has not fully met his legal obligations to support the children,” Bley DeJean said in response to Brad’s rebuttal. She continued: “Following the incident of September 2016, Angelina and the children needed to move from the family home, which Brad chose to keep, including all of its contents.” The “incident,” of course, is the alleged altercation which took place between Brad and Maddox, 17, on a private plane. Bley DeJean went on to explain that Brad was “asked to assist in the expense of a new home for Angelina” and the children, but “instead he loaned Angelina money, for which he is charging her interest on a payment plan.”
Oscar-winning actor Casey Affleck has apologized for the first time about his “unprofessional” behavior on the set of I’m Still Here back in 2008 and 2009. “I tolerated that kind of behavior from other people and I wish that I hadn’t. And I regret a lot of that,” he says. “I really did not know what I was responsible for as the boss. I don’t even know if I thought of myself as the boss. But I behaved in a way and allowed others to behave in a way that was really unprofessional. And I’m sorry.” Casey also addressed the two sexual harassment lawsuits against him that he settled in 2010. “First of all, that I was ever involved in a conflict that resulted in a lawsuit is something that I really regret,” he admits. “I wish I had found a way to resolve things in a different way. I hate that. I had never had any complaints like that made about me before in my life and it was really embarrassing and I didn’t know how to handle it.”
Bethenny Frankel, who founded Skinnygirl in 2011 and later sold the company for $100 million, is expanding her empire to include SkinnyGirl accessories like sunglasses, purses and wallets. According to my source, she will also launch a clothing line called BrynnyGirl–inspired by her 8-year-old daughter Bryn. Bethenny’s brand already offers shapewear, in addition to alcohol, food and drink products.
If you’ve ever been to Hollywood, it feels like EVERYONE who’s even remotely famous has a star on the ‘Walk of Fame.’ There are even plenty of “stars” who you’ve NEVER heard of.
The Walk of Fame has more than 2,600 stars. But, there are actually a lot of big name celebrities who do NOT have one yet. Here are some of them:
1. Carrie Fisher
2. Leonardo DiCaprio
3. Prince. He turned down a star back in the ’80s, which is SO Prince.
4. Julia Roberts. She turned down the honor.
5. Clint Eastwood. He also turned it down.
6. Bruce Springsteen. The Boss accepted his star, but then never set a date for the ceremony. The Walk of Fame committee has a rule that an honoree must have a ceremony within five years of accepting the prize.
7. Denzel Washington. Accepted the honor, but never scheduled a ceremony.
8. George Clooney. Accepted, but never scheduled.
9. Al Pacino. Also accepted, but never scheduled.
10. Brad Pitt. Believe it or not, he was somehow never nominated.
11. Angelina Jolie. She was also never nominated.
12. Robert Redford
13. George Lucas
14. Robert De Niro
15. Warren Beatty. He was supposed to get a star, but it was given to “La La Land” instead. (???) (Unfortunately, he’s never going to live that down.)
16. Will Smith
17. Diane Keaton
18. Mel Gibson
19. Jim Carrey
20. Michael Keaton
21. Peter Sellers
22. Kanye West. Maybe the Walk of Fame committee doesn’t want to hear a 55-minute rant about how the fashion industry doesn’t respect him as an artist.
23. Jay-Z
24. Oprah Winfrey
25. Whitney Houston
26. Beyoncé
27. Missy Elliott
28. Spike Lee
29. Dan Aykroyd. His Blues Brothers partner John Belushi DOES have a star.
30. Sean Connery.
To get a star, a celebrity must be nominated by someone . . . anyone. Then the celebrity must accept it. The committee gets hundreds of nominations every year, and chooses 30 or so to be honored.
The celebrity must agree to schedule a public ceremony, AND must also pay $40,000 for the star and future upkeep and stuff like that.
