Lady Colin Campbell, who was a confidant of Princess Diana, says Meghan Markle’s politics are an issue with some of Harry’s friends. She describes Meghan “ultra-liberal” and that doesn’t go down so well with some of Harry’s pals. For example, she is anti-hunting. Hunting is something that has been happening within the royal family forever…it’s part of their culture. According to Lady Colin Campbell some of her beliefs have led her to feeling isolated.
On that note, another source says Meghan hasn’t received many visitors, and when she’s spotted in public, she’s alone. “There never seems to be anyone with her except a cop following at a discreet distance. She does not seem unhappy but she does seem very solitary,” says the local.
Meanwhile, in a new trailer for HBO’s Queen of the World documentary, Prince Harry says everyone panics when the Queen pops up. “If you suddenly bump into her in the corridor,” Harry cheerfully advises the assembled staff, “don’t panic.” Then he laughs and adds, “I know you will. We all do.”
The film includes behind-the-scenes footage of the royal life, including the Queen, Prince Charles and Camilla, Princess Anne, Prince William and Catherine, the Countess of Wessex, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. It will air on HBO on Monday, October 1st.
It looks like Emmys co-host Colin Jost and Scarlett Johansson partied really hard after the award ceremony on Monday night. The couple was spotted boarding a flight from L.A. to New York yesterday morning and “immediately passed out” when they sat down. An eyewitness joked, “I think she was slumming it in business class… She could fly private.”
Pamela Anderson gives herself credit for getting Kim Kardashian and Melania Trump to stop wearing fur. Pamela says she doesn’t wear fur, including faux fur because she doesn’t want to glamorize it by wearing faux, but she says, “it’s still better than wearing someone’s else’s skin,” she writes. “I sent faux fur coats to Melania Trump and Kim Kardashian, and both have sworn off fur since.” She adds that her sons, Brandon and Dylan, are also following in her animal-friendly footsteps. “On my sons’ modeling contracts now, it says no fur. They’re both vegan, too, but I never forced it on them,” she notes.
In a new interview Chris Pratt has opened up about his admiration for Tom Cruise. “Mission: Impossible–he ran across London, across bridges, over buildings. Yeah, Tom is a great runner,” Chris declares. “He did all his own jumping, he was flying the helicopter, he really was like —oh, if there’s a question of whether or not I’m the best at this, let me put that question to bed. He’s the best.” Chris continues, “One of the career goals that I have based on Tom Cruise is his reputation as being a really nice, positive guy who works hard. I’ve never actually met him, but I would like—if you’re going to leave a legacy, it’d be nice to have it be that people thought you were nice and easy to work with and you worked hard. I think that’s pretty cool.”
Demi Lovato’s mother Dianna De La Garza admits her daughter’s near-fatal overdose in June is a difficult thing to talk about. She says, “I literally start to shake a little bit when I start to remember what happened that day.” Dianna explains that TMZ learned of her daughter’s overdose before she did. She says she was shocked by the news and that “It was just something that I never, ever expected to hear, as a parent, about any of my kids.” Dianna says Demi is doing much better now. “She’s working on her sobriety, and she’s getting the help she needs,” she notes. “That in itself encourages me about her future and about the future of our family.”
Kevin Hart took offense during a recent radio interview when an anonymous caller described Drake as “the Nickelback of rap.” In fact, he took it upon himself to roast the guy. “This is the prime example of a person that just hates success. This is a person that hates to see people on top,” Hart declared. “And I can tell you right now, this guy sleeps on a futon with no mattress. There’s no doubt in my mind that he has a hard futon with no pad and he’s just angry. He’s got a real cold toilet seat.” The comedian-actor added, “It’s a lot going on that just makes him hate to see success.”
For the first time ever, Joe Alwyn has addressed his super secretive relationship with Taylor Swift. “I’m aware people want to know about that side of things,” he tells British Vogue. “I think we have been successfully very private and that has now sunk in for people… but I really prefer to talk about work.” Joe and Taylor began secretly dating in the beginning of 2017 and are seldom seen in public together.
On Wednesday’s episode of Ellen, Carrie Underwood revealed that she announced she’d gotten stitches after falling because she didn’t want people to think she’d gotten plastic surgery. “I feel like I do [look 0=”different”] a little bit,” she admitted. “My biggest worry at the time was like, if I say nothing, then later on… I feel like people are gonna say, ‘What has she done to herself electively?’ And it definitely was not a choice.” Carrie added, “I feel close to myself. I feel pretty close to normal.” She went on to explain that she didn’t even realize “how bad” her accident was when she fell down the stairs in her Nashville home. “I feel like any time anything happens, its adrenaline or something, you don’t really know until you take a second to assess,” she noted.
Khloe Kardashian is reportedly leaving Los Angeles and moving back to Cleveland with Tristan Thompson and their 6-month-old daughter True during NBA season. My source tells me Khloe and Tristan are “doing better than anyone could have expected” after he cheated during her pregnancy. Apparently Tristan has promised Khloé he will never betray her again and she believes him.
