This is pretty cool… HBO used a drone killer to keep fans of Game of Thrones from videotaping any of the final episodes. The electronic device resembles a gun and disables drones before forcing them to the ground. HBO did not want fans flying drones over sets. Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner says; “If a drone flies above sets, there’s a thing that can kill the drones, which is really cool. It creates a field around it and the drones just drop. It’s very X-Men.”
Channing Tatum’s ex-wife, Jenna Dewan, doesn’t mind that he is dating British pop star Jessie J. My source tells me that Jenna is in a very good place right now and is very happy. She has no interest in getting back together with Channing, so there you go. I have also heard that Jenna is one of the sweetest people every and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body so she would not create any drama over this.
Justin Timberlake, the man who was in town last night, is thinking about hosting his own talk show. At an Emmy’s post party he was chatting with late night talk show hosts Jimmy Kimmel, James Corden and Trevor Noah and afterwards was telling everyone that he wanted to get his own show. Maybe he will! He knows he’s getting older and it might be time to branch off… Would you watch a J.T. hosted show?!
KANYE WEST had his lunch date with PRESIDENT TRUMP yesterday. Before they ate, they had a little powwow for the media in the Oval Office.
And yes, Kanye rambled. A lot. He commanded the conversation for most of 24 minutes in his usual way . . . some interesting, well thought-out points interspersed with a whole lot of off-the-top-of-his head nonsense.
He made the most sense talking about prison reform, and bringing jobs back to America. But of course, he didn’t stop there.
He praised his Make America Great Again hat, saying, “When I put this hat on, it made me feel like Superman. You made a superman cape for me.”
He asked liberals to stop insulting Trump because, “If he don’t look good, we don’t look good.”
He said Americans have to reform education because school is boring. He suggested letting kids play basketball while they’re learning math.
He said that when his liberal friends tell him Trump is racist, he replies, “You think racism can control me? Oh that don’t stop me, that’s an invisible wall.”
Oh, and when he said PRESIDENT BUSH didn’t care about black people, it was because he had been, quote, “programmed to think from a victimized mentality . . . a welfare mentality.”
He talked about his very high IQ, and how he never had bipolar . . . he was just sleep-deprived.
Trump ate the whole thing up, obviously. He seemed particularly impressed with Kanye’s “If he don’t look good, we don’t look good” line.
Leonard Cohen has posthumously called out alleged genius Kanye West with a poem he wrote before his 2016 death called “Kanye West Is Not Picasso.” The poem appears in Cohen’s new book of poetry, The Flame, and is going viral on Twitter after Americana artist Amanda Shires tweeted out the poem early Thursday. “Kanye West is not Picasso. I am Picasso. Kanye West is not Edison. I am Edison. I am Tesla,” the poem begins. Cohen then continues, “JAY-Z is not the Dylan of anything. I am the Dylan of anything. I am the Kanye West of Kanye West. The Kanye West of the great bogus shift of bulls**t culture.” Honestly, it sounds like something Kanye West would write.
Fran Drescher says she’d be down with playing Cardi B’s mom in a sitcom–perhaps even a reboot of her hit ’90s series, The Nanny. Fran says, “She’s from New York, we both have funny voices. She could be my daughter.” Fran also noted that fans have been clamoring for a Nanny-Cardi B collab for a while, especially considering that Cardi often steps out in over-the-top looks reminiscent of Fran’s alter-ego style icon, Fran Fine.
Amy Winehouse will be the next deceased singer to return to the concert stage in hologram form. According to my source, the show will debut in 2019. While some critics take issue with the idea of deceased artists being brought back in hologram form, Winehouse’s father Mitch has confirmed that all money earned will go to The Amy Winehouse Foundation–which helps people dealing with substance abuse. “We felt this would be a tremendous way for Amy both to revisit her fans through a hologram, and also an incredible way to raise money for our foundation,” he says.
