As expected, One Direction cleaned up at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards last night. The group took home three Moonmen, with the biggest prizes being for Best Pop Video and Best New Artist. Rihanna took home the top prize of Video of the Year for "We Found Love."   Best Female video went to Nicki Minaj for Starships and Best Male Video wen tot Chris Brown for Turn Up The Music.

Probably the biggest disappointment of the night was that nothing dramatic or controversial happened.  Amber Rose showed off her baby bump (she’s carrying Wiz Khalifa’s baby)…  That’s about as crazy as it got. 

Amy Poehler and Will Arnett are separated.  The couple have two sons together ages 2 and 3.  They’ve been married for 9 years and say the split is “very amicable.”  This was Amy's first marriage, and Will's second.  He and Penelope Ann Miller divorced after a year of marriage back in 1995.  
 

I had no idea, but I guess a while ago Queen Elizabeth allegedly asked Prince Harry to take a DNA test to see if he was Prince Charles' son or the result of Princess Diana's alleged affair with James Hewitt.  Charles was so upset he refused to have Harry supply his DNA and was livid that his own mother wanted to put her grandson’s royal heritage to the test.  Well after the naked pictures of Harry in Vegas were released the age-old controversy over Harry’s heritage has been stirred up again.  The Queen’s been disillusioned and embarrassed over the years by his wild partying and bad judgment calls (like the time he played dress-up in a Nazi officer’s uniform) so these shocking photos of his nude Vegas frolic were the straw that broke the camel’s back. The Queen’s so humiliated she’s questioning again whether Harry’s her real grandson.

Simon Cowell is admitting that he lied.  That first day of shooting X Factor when Britney walked off the set, apparently she was ready to quit.  Simon was quick to squash the rumours at the time, saying she just walked off to go to the bathroom, but now he’s saying she really was ready to throw in the towel on the first day.  Apparently the pressure and nerves got to her and she told Simon she didn’t think she could do it.  He gave her a pep talk and eventually got her back on set.  Now of course Britney says she loves being a judge and Simon thinks she’s very good at it.

Earlier in the week I was telling you how Beyonce and Jay Z were snubbing Kim Kardashian at Jay’s Made In America music festival.  Initially reports stated that they were upset with Kim Kardashian for insulting Jay’s artists Rita Ora over Twitter.  Rita is dating Kim’s brother Rob and Kim Tweeted something about him finding a good woman (implying that Rita is not).  Well it turns out there’s more to this beef.  Apparently director Ron Howard was at the music festival filming for a documentary he’s doing on Jay Z and I guess from the minute Kim got there to the minute she left she was trying to get on camera and convince Ron he should put her in a movie.  Basically she was trying to cut Jay’s grass in his own backyard and both Jay and Beyonce found it rude and annoying.

There’s a big old pot and a big old kettle in this one… Kris Jenner says she hates Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and she thinks June is a horrible mom for exploiting her daughter.  Kris thinks the Thompsons are classless, unlike her family, and can't understand why America is so fascinated by them.  She especially has a strong dislike for June, claiming the beauty pageant world is vile and that June is a bad mom for 'exploiting' Alana in that way.  Kris thinks it's all a ploy to make money, and says she sees through it and thinks it is absolutely disgusting.  One has to wonder, since Kris has done more or less the exact same thing with her family if she’s not just jealous.  Apparently the show has become bigger than 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians', and Kris is starting to feel threatened by its success.
