Katie Holmes spoke to the media yesterday, but just barely. She was approached by a reporter from the New York Daily News and was asked how she’s doing. She replied, quote, "I'm all right. Thank you."
According to at least one of my sources, Katie was planning her exit from Tom’s life for weeks. She switched cell phones and email addresses. She even rented a new apartment. Tom knew that, she told him it was so she could drive into the underground garage there and avoid the paparazzi.
Through all this Tom is reportedly speaking with his daughter Suri on the phone several times a day.
We’ve heard that one of the reasons Katie decided to leave Tom is because she didn’t want their daughter Suri being raised as a Scientologist, and who can blame her. Apparently Suri would have eventually been subjected to something called "sec checking." This is when one holds electrode handles on a device called an e-meter and is then asked a series of personal questions that help the Church locate "areas of spiritual distress." Some ex-Scientologists claim the questions include:
- What has somebody told you not to tell?
- Have you ever decided you did not like some member of your family?
- Have you ever bullied a smaller child?
- Have you ever lied to a teacher?
- Have you ever done something you were very much ashamed of?
- Have you ever refused to obey an order from someone you should obey?
- Have you ever gotten yourself dirty on purpose?
In Kardashian news, Kris Jenner believes that Scott Disick doesn’t need rehab as long as he’s on reality TV. She thinks that by Scott talking about his feelings in front of the cameras, that it’s like therapy. And yes, Kris does think his issues make for good TV. She says she exposes her own weaknesses in front of the cameras, so why not all the others family members and boyfriends and husbands? She thinks it’s very therapeutic! In other words, she thinks Scott being drunk on TV is good for ratings.
If Katie Holmes is successful in getting full custody of her daughter Suri she plans on moving overseas for a while. She thinks England would be the perfect spot to get away from it all. She’s taking cues from Nicole Kidman, who moved away from Hollywood in the wake of her divorce from Tom Cruise. Katie believes she has to move to keep Scientology goons away from her.
Kanye West can’t help but act like a jealous boyfriend because he is so into Kim. I guess the other night Kim and Kanye were lying in bed and Kim’s phone went off. Kanye went berserk because he couldn’t imagine who would be texting her so late. Kim then told Kanye that he could check her phone anytime he wanted to and then she handed it over to him. The text was from her sister. Kanye doesn’t even really like technology, up until now he’s gone without a cell phone, but Kim got so frustrated calling Kanye through his bodyguard that he caved and got a phone, but he only uses it for Kim.
Two women have filed lawsuits against NYC's W.i.P nightclub in the aftermath of the Chris Brown and Drake fight. The suit was filed in state court in New York by Lucy Pavlovsky and Nadia Beddini who claimed that they were permanently injured and that the fight wouldn't have happened if the club owners hadn't been negligent by continuing to serve drunk patrons. As a result of the fight, Lucy suffered gashes to her arms that required 12 stitches and Nadia suffered cuts and other lacerations to her legs from flying glass.
Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine says that his experimenting with hallucinogenic drugs was a valuable experience. He told Q magazine, that it actually got him to understand himself better. He said, "I definitely, firmly believe that the experience I had on mushrooms made me understand certain things about myself that I probably wouldn't have otherwise. What I took away from that experience was valuable and beneficial to me. It really forced me to look at myself. It's so corny to say but its true; you just get in touch with the wonderment you have as a kid that you tend to lose. Obviously if you abuse a drug like that you'll never come back and end up as a f**king psychotic maniac."
Matthew McConaughey announced yesterday that he and his new wife Camila Alves are expecting their third child. He Tweeted, quote, "Happy birthday America, more good news. Camila and I are expecting our 3rd child, God bless, just keep livin'." Matthew and Camila just got married two weeks ago, but they already have two kids: A 3-year-old son named Levi and a 2-year-old daughter named Vida.
A female follower of Chad Ochocinco's from Ohio Tweeted to him Tuesday that she had just lost her husband of 30 years. So Chad asked the woman if she had a passport. She said yes. Then he asked her if she could pack up and come to his wedding. She accepted the invitation. He told her to, quote, "Bring ya smile, dancing shoes and appetite." R. Kelly has been in the news a bit lately thanks to his new book "Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me". In the book he watching "The Notebook" inspired him to divorce his wife Andrea. He says, quote, "As the film credits started to roll, I couldn't move. I burst into tears. People walking past me patted me on the back, trying to console me. 'The Notebook' was beautiful, and I was crying because its hero and heroine had died together. But I was also crying because I remembered a Valentine's Day . . . when a helicopter dropped a rainfall of roses . . . that had come and gone. My marriage had died. And there was nothing I could do to bring it back."
