Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have settled their divorce and custody issues. Katie's attorney said, quote, "We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life." He also thanked Tom's attorneys for, quote, "their professionalism and diligence that helped bring about this speedy resolution." Just before the settlement was announced, Tom and Katie released a joint statement saying, quote, "We are committed to working together as parents to accomplishing what is in our daughter Suri's best interests. We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other's commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other's roles as parents." Obviously, no official details were released. But "sources" say that Suri is going to live with Katie in New York, while Tom receives, quote, "generous visitation rights."
I’ve heard that one of the terms of the settlement is that the nanny and bodyguards Katie recently hired must be with Suri whenever she's with Tom. I’ve also heard that Suri isn't permitted to be exposed to anything Scientology related and this includes going to any Scientology churches, parties, etc., but that's probably not exactly true. Katie's lawyer says, quote, "There are numerous inaccuracies in the reports regarding the purported contents of the agreement reached between the parties. The agreement is confidential and its terms will not be disclosed."
In related news apparently when Katie was quietly plotting her exit from Tom’s life, one of the ways she allegedly cut ties was to fire Tom's daughter Isabella from her clothing company. My source says, quote, "There was never any trouble between them. Bella called Katie 'Mom.' She was fired out of the blue, and once Katie filed for divorce, it all made sense.
My source tells me that Usher is supporting his ex-wife Tameka Foster after her son Kyle Glover has been declared brain dead after a jet ski accident. As previously reported, Kyle was riding an inner tube on Lake Lanier in Atlanta when he was hit in the head by a passing jet ski. Usher has put custody issues with Tameka to the side during this difficult time. It’s no secret that Tameka and Usher don't get along, but in this circumstance Usher is coming to her side. Usher practically raised Kyle as his own. He's known him for seven years. It is so sad what happened.
Meanwhile more details have been released on the accident. The incident report from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources identified Jeffrey S. Hubbard (a family friend), as the man who was operating the vehicle. The report said that Jeffrey was operating the watercraft in the lake when he ran over two juveniles being towed on an inner tube by another boat at approximately 3:25 p.m. ET on Friday (July 6th). Both of the children were flown to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. The second victim, a 15-year-old girl, is said to have suffered a cut on the head and a broken arm. Usher and Tameka were married in 2007. They divorced two years later in 2009 and are currently going through a custody battle for their two young kids Naviyd and Usher V.
On Friday, after Justin Bieber got stopped for speeding he called 911 to report that he was still being followed by several paparazzi (which was his excuse for speeding in the first place). He told the operator, quote, "I was trying to go fast so that I could lose these people and I got pulled over. And the police told me if they kept following me to call in." He added, quote, "They're the ones that are driving recklessly now, I'm just trying to like not have them be on my tail right now." Early in the call, the operator asks Justin for his name and he says "Justin". When she asks for his last name, he says, quote, "Um . . . Johnson."
Susan Boyle's neighbors want her to stop singing. Teresa Miller says, ''We used to hear the odd bit of shouting and sometimes singing before she was famous but since she became successful she’s got worse. It is so loud you can’t hear the telly. It’s unbearable sometimes. Sometimes she’s a really nice neighbor, but sometimes she isn’t. She sings at the top of her voice. I have nothing against her personally but we’re thinking about moving, it’s that bad. I don’t know if she has a karaoke machine or what but it is loud. It goes on for hours. She’ll play one song on repeat and play it again and again. It gets monotonous. Maybe she is practicing for her next track or the next time she’s going to see Simon Cowell.''
Kris Humphries' ex-girlfriend is fueling speculation that she might not be pregnant after all. Yesterday Myla Sinanaj tweeted a photo of herself in a bikini top and shorts with the caption, "Loook No Babyy bump!" She added, "Yes I'm a thick curvy girl... All natural I'm comfortable in my skin." Myla recently announced that she was pregnant with Kris's baby. Kim Kardashian is apparently laughing over the whole thing. I’m told she finds it funny that Kris wants an annulment because he's a good Christian boy, yet he (allegedly) knocked up some other girl while he's still married. No word yet whether Myla is actually pregnant, was never pregnant or was pregnant and is no longer. Stay tuned.

Adam Lambert may judge American Idol. One insider says, "He personifies the show, and will be a popular choice right from the start. He knows what it's like to be on the receiving end of the judges' comments, he has a human touch, and they know they can't go wrong if they bring him on." The same insider says, "Randy is great, but he's part of the old Idol. They want to keep the soul of the show but have a new look, and for that reason he may well not be part of the new line up."
