Robert Pattinson not only had the support of the Twi-Hards behind him as he stepped out publicly for the first time since girlfriend Kristen Stewart's infidelity to promote his new film Cosmopolis, but also that of Liberty Ross, the other innocent victim in this entire ordeal! Apparently, Rupert Sanders' scorned wife caught the Twilight actor during one of his recent promotional interviews, and was extremely impressed with how well he handled himself.
According to a source: “Liberty commends Robert for going out and putting on a brave face in the midst of all the drama he was dragged into. She actually watched his interview … and was really touched that Robert was able to handle himself so well when all the interviewers wanted to know was about the cheating affair. The kid’s got courage and I know Liberty is proud of him. It takes a lot to go out there and confront these things head on, especially if you’re the victim and innocent in it all. He has class I tell you, just like Liberty.”
Move over, Katy Perry! On the heels of the pop star releasing Part Of Me 3D this summer, Jennifer Lopez has announced that she is currently shooting footage for her OWN 3D concert film…called to no one's surprise, Dance Again! Her manager, Benny Medina, also confirmed that the documentary will also delve into her personal life and shake-ups over the past few years, no doubt including the birth of her twins, her split from Marc Anthony, and the American Idol saga!
Ryan Gosling wants to have babies! There's only one catch: he wants a ring first. That's right. Ryan would only consider making beautiful babies with girlfriend Eva Mendes if the two got married first. A source close to the couple says: “Ryan believes in marital commitment before children. But Eva doesn't support the institution of marriage. She's very outspoken about it." But we all know Ryan is hard to resist. The source says: "She’s considering caving and actually proposing to Ryan on their one-year anniversary in September.” It sounds like if Eva ever wants to make little Goslings, she's going to have to buy the Goose!
Unless American Idol wants to pay him the BIG, BIG bucks, we're not so sure this one's happening, because even though Diddy told paparazzi "I love American Idol" with excitement at JFK this past Friday, he's also saying something else that's very telling.
When asked how much it would take him to judge the show, he just smiles and says: "They know." Hmm….. Meanwhile! Alanis Morissette is still in the running for a spot too. Only time will tell!
"The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" is suffering some major setbacks -- 20 staffers were just canned from the show and even the big man himself had to take a pay cut ... this according to reports. The firing of staff members was a decision made by Comcast -- the company that owns NBC -- while they try to assess the value of their investment, says The Hollywood Reporter. In light of the firings, it was reported that even Leno himself took a huge pay cut from his reported $30 million salary to try and save as many jobs as possible. Leno has said for years he banks his salary from NBC and lives off the money he makes from his busy personal appearance schedule. "The Tonight Show" is consistently on top in the ratings, though its audience does tend to skew older.
Sad story out of Hollywood. Famed director Tony Scott -- who directed "Top Gun" among many other major films -jumped to his death today off an L.A. bridge, this according to the L.A. County Coroner. According to the Coroner, 68-year-old Scott - Ridley Scott's brother - jumped from the Vincent Thomas Bridge spanning San Pedro and Terminal Island around 12:30pm. U.S. Coast Guard Lt. Jennifer Osburn said a suicide note was found in Scott's Toyota Prius, which was parked on one of the eastbound lanes of the bridge. Scott directed such films as "Top Gun," "Beverly Hills Cop II," "Enemy of the State," and "The Taking of Pelham 123."
Rihanna did not mince words talking to Oprah about Chris Brown ... saying very simply, "I still love him." As part of Sunday night’s episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter," O asked RiRi where her relationship with Chris stands today, nearly three years after his brutal attack on her. Rihanna explained, "We're very, very close friends. We built a trust again and that's it. We love each other and we probably always will." RiRi says the two are just friends now and they are in no way back together ... though she did admit, "I think he was the love of my life." Let's hope not.
