Does Katy Perry Owe Britney Spears An Apology?
Katy Perry is being blasted on Twitter after she appeared to take a dig at Britney Spears during a red carpet interview at the Grammys. She was talking about her new blonde hair and all the things she’s done to her hair. Then she said, "the only thing left to do is shave my head, which I'm really saving for a public breakdown. I'm down for that." Britney's fans were not amused and #KatyPerryIsOver soon began trending on Twitter. "Um... @katyperry mocked the mental illness of someone who went through a really dark time. That wasn't cool. At. All," one wrote. Another commented, "Katy, let's not forget @britneyspears has something you will never have: A Grammy."
In a new interview, Bella Hadid opens up about her headline-making breakup from The Weeknd. “It was my first breakup… and so public,” she explains. “As an outsider, you might think I handled it so well, but it’s always in your heart, and you always feel it very heavily. It’ll be hard for a while. Love hurts, but you have to pull through.” The 20-year-old model goes on to say that she will “always love him.” Adding, “Sometimes you want to be sad about it or handle it differently,” she continues. “But at the end of the day, you never want to burn a bridge that you’ve fought so hard to build.”
Former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello says she turns to Taylor Swift when she needs to talk about her personal life. She says she and Taylor think the same way when it comes to love so she’s a good person to turn to for advice. She also admitted that at 19 she’s never had a serious relationship, but has managed to write all these love songs. Apparently the love songs come easily to her because she makes up all these fantasies in her head.
This is a little embarrassing… Ed Sheeran was shut out of the Grammys after-party hosted by his own label. I guess the fire marshall was there because there were capacity issues, and so no matter how big the star, they weren’t letting anyone else in. Of course Ed was nothing but polite about the whole thing.
Justin Bieber showed up to Rihanna's Grammy after-party Sunday night and guess who was there… his ex, Selena Gomez. Selena’s new man, The Weeknd was also there. Well Justin left shortly after arriving, which could have to do with seeing his ex at the club – apparently she and The Weeknd were very “intimate” all night.
Earlier on Sunday, Justin took to Instagram Live to continue shading The Weeknd, sarcastically referring to "Starboy" as his favourite song, before he and his friends burst out laughing. “We gotta end it now, y'all. Y'all, that was too funny," the 22-year-old pop star continued. "Hell no, I can't listen to a Weeknd song," Justin replied. "That s**t's whack." Justin, who was nominated for four Grammys including Album of the Year for Purpose, chose not to attend the award ceremony.
Speaking of artists who didn’t attend the Grammy’s; Drake was busy on tour in the UK and eating pizza apparently. On Saturday night he ordered about $1,875 worth of Domino’s. Drake placed the order after his concert at Manchester Arena in the UK. The many, many pizzas were reportedly transported in three cars and carried out by 10 workers. Despite being nominated for eight Grammys this year, Drake decided to skip the show and instead performed in Manchester on his “Boy Meets World Tour.” In fact, he was busy partying at a Manchester club on Sunday night when “Hotline Bling” won Best Rap/Sung Performance and Best Rap Song.
Someone on Justin Bieber’s team recently said he helped make sure Justin didn't end up like Aaron Carter. And Aaron is not cool with that.
Aaron admits that Justin had a better voice than he did when he was a kid, but he says that he laid the groundwork for Justin's career. Actually, what he said was, "Hope you're enjoying my pavement."
He says he was still "taboo" when he was a kid . . . because radio stations didn't want to play "a little kid who looks like a girl."
He also claims he's sold more records than Justin, and insists that anyone can look that up. We did . . . and Justin has actually sold a lot more. Aaron has sold about 4 million albums in the U.S., while Justin's number is 44.7 million.
And Aaron also suggests that Justin must feel "threatened" by him . . . apparently because of some new music that he has in the pipeline? It's unclear what he means, but he's still as cocky as ever.
It's Valentine's Day and things are looking bright . . . because "Playboy" is ending its "no nudity" policy.
I don't know if you remember this, but Hugh Hefner’s son Cooper launched a bid last year to regain control of "Playboy", with the promise of bringing back nude playmates.
He was named chief creative officer this past October, and thanks to him, the March / April issue will once again be one you'll have to hide.
The cover even says, "Naked is Normal". Cooper says, "Nudity was never the problem, because nudity isn't a problem. Today, we're taking our identity back and reclaiming who we are."
