Nicki Minaj didn’t have anything better to do Saturday night than hang out on Twitter . . . and pay $26,000 worth of college costs to several of her followers.
She was promoting a contest where people could win a free trip to meet her at the “Billboard Music Awards”, and someone asked, “Well you wanna pay for my tuition?”
Nicki replied, “Show me straight A’s that I can verify w/ur school and I’ll pay it. Who wants to join THAT contest?!?!” And they were off to the races. $500 here, $1,000 there, and pretty soon she was up to 26K!
She even said she’ll do more in a month or two.
Kanye on the other hand, he was not interacting with his fans on social media this weekend because he deleted his Instagram and Twitter accounts on Friday. No one is sure why, but if I had to guess, it’s all part of his therapy.
Over the weekend some people were commenting on Beyoncé’s lips and how they look fuller than usual, questioning of she got lip injections. That sent some fans into tailspins and caused them to rant about all the changes a woman’s body can endure during pregnancy. One person wrote that women’s gums can sometimes swell and that Beyoncé’s puffy lips are definitely a result of her carrying twins.
Suits star Meghan Markle cheered her boyfriend Prince Harry, on as he participated in the Audi Polo Challenge at Coworth Park Polo Club in Ascot, England. This marked the first public event Markle and Prince Harry attended together. The royal participated in the games this year in support of his charities Sentebale and Well Child.
Paris Jackson is having a very good year. Michael Jackson’s daughter made her red carpet debut this January, signed with IMG Models a few months later and then landed a role in an as-yet unnamed movie opposite Charlize Theron, David Oyelowo and Amanda Seyfried. Well, according to my source, she also about to sign a seven-figure deal with Calvin Klein. My source says, “This deal is to make Paris the new face and body of Calvin Klein. The deal — which is just about to be signed — is huge, worth seven figures, many millions. Expect to see Paris in huge ad campaigns and on many red carpets in Calvin Klein.”
Miley Cyrus is responding to the blowback she’s gotten for comments she made about hip hop in a recent Billboard cover story.
The interview touched on a number of topics, but at one point, Miley was asked about musical influences. She said: “But I also love that new Kendrick [Lamar] song [“Humble”]: ‘Show me somethin’ natural like a– with some stretch marks.’ I love that because it’s not ‘Come sit on my d—, suck on my c—.’ I can’t listen to that anymore. That’s what pushed me out of the hip-hop scene a little. It was too much ‘Lamborghini, got my Rolex, got a girl on my c—‘—I am so not that.”
Readers were quick to jump on the quote, venting on Twitter that she previously “wore hip hope culture like a costume.”
On Instagram, Miley argued that articles represent just a snippet of the conversations she has over several hours with journalists, noting that comments are often taken out of context and sensationalized.
She wrote: “When articles are read it isn’t always considered that for hours I’ve spoken with a journalist about my life, where my heart is, my perspective at that time, and the next step in my career. Unfortunately only a portion of that interview makes it to print, & a lot of the time publications like to focus on the most sensationalized part of the conversation. So, to be clear I respect ALL artists who speak their truth and appreciate ALL genres of music (country, pop, alternative …. but in this particular interview I was asked about rap).”
Miley pledged to continue to work with hip hop artists, but that her focus has shifted as she has gotten older.
She wrote: “At this point in my life I am expanding personally/musically and gravitating more towards uplifting, conscious rap! As I get older I understand the effect music has on the world & Seeing where we are today I feel the younger generation needs to hear positive powerful lyrics! I am proud to be an artist with out borders and thankful for the opportunity to explore so many different styles/sounds!”
A lot of people love model Chrissy Teigen because of her honesty. Well, she’s being honest again and it has a lot of people saying, “Sorry, what?”…
In a recent interview, Chrissy admitted that she’s had armpit lipo. She said, “I had an armpit sucked out, which was one of the best things. It’s a big secret, but I don’t care. It was nine years ago or so. And I had two inches to my armpit. Now it’s back though, so now I’ve gotta pay for [liposuction] again. It was so easy. It made me feel better in dresses; I felt more confident. It was the dumbest, stupidest thing I’ve ever done. The dumbest, but I like it, whatever. I have no regrets, honestly.”
Chrissy is known for going make-up free on Instagram and even showing off her post-baby stretch marks.
It was only a matter of time, but Netflix has ordered a second season of its controversial show “13 Reasons Why”.
Remember Paris Hilton? Remember her brother, Conrad? Well he is 23 years-old and was just arrested for stealing a Bentley and attempting to break into the home of his former girlfriend’s mother. He was arrested at actress E.G. Daily’s home Saturday for trying to make contact with her daughter Hunter Daily Salomon. Police charged Conrad with violating a restraining order Hunter had obtained against him in 2015 after they split. Hunter is the daughter of Rick Salomon, 48, with whom Paris, 36, famously made a sex tape in 2001. Before trying to break into Hunter’s home, he allegedly hit Rick and stole his Bentley. This isn’t Conrad’s first brush with the law: he was released from jail this past August after serving two months for violating his probation.
In Chris Rock’s recent cover story in “Rolling Stone”, they talk about a stand-up gig where he told the crowd he cheated on his ex-wife Malaak Compton-Rock. And he mentions three women he cheated with.
He doesn’t give names, but he says one was famous, one was semi-famous, and one was a member of the, “retail class.”
Well, apparently the famous one was Kerry Washington. Supposedly, they were hooking up during the filming of the 2007 movie “I Think I Love My Wife”.
Kerry is now married to former NFL star Nnamdi Asomugha, and they have two kids.
