Justin Bieber has apparently cut off ties with once-close friend Floyd Mayweather. The two guys, who were often seen near the ring together during Floyd’s fights, are allegedly no longer on speaking terms. Justin unfollowed the pro boxer on Instagram, so you know it’s serious. My source says Floyd called Justin a “traitor” after that move. In a recent TMZ video, Justin threw more shade at Floyd by predicting that the boxer’s opponent Conor McGregor would win their next fight.
Justin is currently being counseled by the Hillsong Church and was told by church pastors to cut off bad influences from his life. I guess he felt Floyd fell into that category.
Both Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey are featured in Paper magazine currently… in their respective interviews, both stars said they love the performing in Vegas, but don’t necessarily party like you may expect. J-Lo says, “I’m here to dance and the wildest thing I’ve done is, oooh, I danced ’til 4. You know, that was it.”
The wildest thing Mariah says she does when she’s visiting the strip? Go to the dentist. Seriously, apparently there is a really great kids dentist there and so she considers that the place to go.
In the same article Mariah was asking about her “diva moments,” which she clarified are not just moments: “Actually, I have had diva moments, and then people can’t handle it. I guess it’s a little intense, because I come from a true diva: My mother is an opera singer. And that’s a real diva, you know – Juilliard diva. And so other people that are like, ‘I’m a diva,’ it’s like, ‘Honey, you don’t know what a diva is, you didn’t grow up with my mom.’” “It’s like I inadvertently do it, and I don’t do it to be disrespectful,” she said.
Macklemore has announced details regarding his new album, “Gemini”. The album is set for release on September 22nd! “Gemini” is a solo effort made without long-time production partner Ryan Lewis, with the pair deciding to take an amicable break. “After the last tour, Ryan and I agreed that some creative space would be good for the both of us,” he explained. “Ryan Lewis is my brother forever. We have been working together damn near every day for 9 years and it felt like the right time. This decision came from a place of love for one another.”
The Queen herself, Beyonce and Orange Is The New Black star, Laverne Cox have teamed up for an unknown project, which will be revealed next month. Laverne tweeted, “Yes it’s true. I am collaborating with @beyonce on a new project. #QueenBey herself. More details Sept. 6. #Beyonce #TransIsBeautiful”
Taylor Swift is expected to release new music on Friday… It will be the first single from her upcoming sixth album, although she could surprise everyone and drop the entire album itself.
Taylor is also rumoured to be debuting the music video for that supposed new single at this Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, hosted by her former friend Katy Perry.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin said in a new interview that he did not mean to imply (in a previous interview) that Coldplay was going to quit after completing the tour cycle for its recent album A Head Full Of Dreams. He explained that what he meant to say was that the end of the tour will mark the end of a chapter. He also said, “I think what the future holds is us doing things slightly differently and trying to create music in ways that is graceful and honest. But we’re still just trying to figure it all out — the next phase, and what that will be.”
Amy Schumer refused to stand idly by when she realized that her male counterparts were making more money than she was for essentially the same work.
Amy went to Netflix and renegotiated her salary once she learned that Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle were making $20 million each for their routines.
Amy signed a deal to make $11 million for a stand-up show dubbed “The Leather Special,” according to Variety.
The special, which aired in March, was taped after her spike in popularity, thanks in part to an Emmy for Inside Amy Schumer and her starring role in Trainwreck.
When she returned to the streaming giant and argued that she deserved the same salary, she was able to negotiate a much higher rate.
Amy isn’t the only female star demanding more. After the Sony hack revealed that Chris Hemsworth was getting paid more than co-star Charlize Theron in The Huntsman: Winter’s War, she reportedly added $10 million to her salary.
Emmy Rossum also negotiated a better deal when she asked to paid as much as her fellow Shameless co-star, William H. Macy
Scarlett Johansson was photographed sporting some serious ink while filming her latest movie in Atlanta, Avengers: Infinity War. The tattoo features a large floral print design and takes up quite a bit of real estate between her shoulder blades. Scarlett is no stranger to tattoos: she has a lamb design tattooed under her right shoulder blade, a horseshoe on her ribcage, a rising sun on her left forearm and two interlocking circles on her right ankle. It’s unclear whether this tattoo is permanent, or if it’s a temporary tat related to her dual role in the Avengers movie as Natasha Romanoff and Black Widow.
Transformers: The Last Knight star Mark Wahlberg has beat out Dwayne Johnson for top billing on Forbes’ highest-paid actor list. He reportedly lands on top thanks to Transformers and Daddy’s Home 2.
Last year, Marky Mark brought home a jaw-dropping $68 million, besting The Rock, who raked in a still-astounding $65 million. Coming in third is Johnson’s The Fate of the Furious co-star Vin Diesel, with $54.5 million.
Rounding out the top five is Adam Sandler, at No. 4 with $50.5 million and Jackie Chan with $49 million.
The top 10 male actors banked a total $488.5 million, almost three times that of their female counterparts, who brought in $172.5 million.
