John Mayer is hilarious! The guy, staying true to his name, John “The Player” Mayer, hit on Nicki Minaj over the weekend via Twitter. On Friday he Tweeted, “I spend an inordinate amount of time per day wondering if Nicki Minaj would like me or not.”
Nicki flirted right back, saying, “Would my body be your wonderland?”
That reply from Nicki apparently left John speechless, because he wrote back, “Please hold, losing my [stuff]. This isn’t my reply yet.”
That was Friday, and John apparently hasn’t gathered his thoughts enough to craft an official reply. Unless he DM’ed her. Maybe they even hooked up over the weekend…
It’s taken her a minute, but Kim Kardashian is letting Sharon Osbourne feel the full force of her disdain.
Sharon recently referred to Kim as a “ho,” and Kim is saying the comments were not only unfounded, they were “ridiculous.” She said that her first problem with Sharon is that she misquoted her. And I guess she wants Sharon to feel stupid about that. Secondly, Kim said, “I’ve never been like the ‘free the nipple’ kind of girl so…if I post a photo, I post it because I like how I look.” In other words, it has nothing to do with feminism, as Sharon alluded to.
Meanwhile, Kim was asked over the weekend to confirm the rumours swirling around about the third baby she and Kanye are expecting via surrogate, but she gave us nothing. What we’ve heard is that the baby is due in January and that it’s a girl. She said she will talk about it when her and Kanye are ready to… a not a minute sooner.
Beyoncé arrived in her hometown of Houston, Texas, on Friday to show support for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. She was there with her mom, Tina Knowles are her daughter, Blue. Bey spoke to a large crowd and St. John’s Church and also helped dish up some food to those in shelters.
Mindy Kaling confirmed that she’s having her first baby back in August, and now, thanks to her Mindy Project co-stars, we know that baby is a girl. It seems that all of her pals from the show are very excited for her.
Lady Gaga is planning on taking a break after she wraps her tour in December. She says that doesn’t mean she will be fully stopping, she will still be creating new music in her downtime, but she is looking forward to relaxing and giving her body a break. Gaga has been dealing with chronic pain over the last few years… that’s something we may learn a little more about in her new Netflix documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two (which she just premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.) It will be available on Netflix, Friday, September 22nd.
Zayn Malik was recently asked about Taylor Swift. Now, keep in mind, Taylor is his girlfriend, Gigi Hadid’s friend. And it sounds like it was very obvious that he was talking about his girlfriend’s friend. Here’s what he said about Taylor: “I think she’s cool, I think she’s successful, and I think she deserves her success because she’s worked hard,” he continued, “I did a song with her, it was fun, she was professional. She gets on with my girlfriend [Gigi Hadid], they’re good friends. I don’t have a bad word to say about her. She’s cool.” Zayn collaborated with Taylor last year on “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” which appeared on the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack.
Actress Kristen Bell is being hailed a hero for the work she is doing to save those from the tropical storm in Florida.
Kristen was filming a movie in Orlando, and wasn’t able to evacuate in time, so she got stuck at her hotel. She saw a Tweet from her “Frozen” co-star Josh Gad. He plays Olaf the snowman.
He said his parents, his brothers, his sister-in-law, his niece, and his nephew were stuck in Florida, too. So, she got them a room at her hotel.
Josh Tweeted, “They don’t make them like this girl. Thank you, Kristen. You are truly an angel sent from above.”
And Kristen’s heroics didn’t end there. Actress Jennifer Carpenter from “Dexter” saw what she did for Josh’s family, and asked for some help, too.
Her aunt and her 82-year-old grandmother were stuck in a house in Tampa. They had been planning to ride out the storm by hiding in a closet and wearing bike helmets. So Kristen got them to her hotel, too.
Kristen also helped the staff at the hotel prep for the storm, and has visited local shelters.
George Clooney has explained why he and his wife Amal Clooney gave their 3-month-old twins Alexander and Ella such traditional names. He says, “[We] didn’t want to give them one of those ridiculous Hollywood names that don’t mean anything.” He continued saying the twins will have a difficult enough time bearing the weight of their celebrity, they wanted them to at least have a break with their names. He added (for the record) that they weren’t named after anyone either, “We didn’t have any great inspiration. It wasn’t Alexander the Great and Ella Fitzgerald.”
Actress, author and lifestyle guru Gwyneth Paltrow posed for the inaugural issue of Goop magazine in little more than wet earth and a smile. Gwyneth graces the cover of Goop’s first issue wearing bikini bottoms and a lot of mud.
The only text on the cover reads “Earth to Gwyneth,” likely a nod to the blowback she receives for some of her more esoteric lifestyle recommendations, like vaginal eggs, “earthing,” munching on moon dust and that one time she said she’d rather die than serve her kids Cup-O-Soup.
The issue will be on sale September 14th for $14.99.
