With insiders saying Meghan Markle is “the one” for Prince Harry — and rumors of an engagement announcement quickening every day — many royal fans are wondering if Meghan will spend Christmas with the royals this year. Harry usually joins Prince Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton to celebrate Christmas with Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip and the rest of the wider Windsor clan at the Queen’s Sandringham estate. The private event which includes exchanging presents on Christmas Eve and a big lunch as well as a trip to church for Christmas services on the big day. If the Suits actress did join Harry, 33, and his relatives at the estate in Norfolk, it would be a first for the family in recent times — Kate wasn’t invited to the festivities in Christmas 2010, despite the couple revealing they were engaged in November. They wed in April 2011. Royalty expert Joe Little, managing editor of Majesty, tells PEOPLE, that his “instincts” are that she would not be invited. “I really don’t think it will happen. Kate didn’t go under the same circumstances,” he says. And even if Harry puts a ring on her finger before December, things might not be different. “There are some patterns that they seem to follow and I’m inclined to think that this is one of those,” Little adds.
Jennifer Lopez is the new face of Guess. She has been announced as the new representative for the fashion house, and she says she is “thrilled and excited” to be joining forces with the “iconic brand” because she has been a fan of the company ever since she was a teenager.
Gwen Stefani told Jimmy Fallon that Blake Shelton is very hard to buy for at Christmas. Luckily, she has an idea, she told Jimmy, “But I think that, because he doesn’t fit in any of my furniture at my house — because he’s too big — I’m like, OK, I’m gonna get you a couch and that’s gonna be your Christmas present. I’m putting it outside so he can [have campfires]. I try to make him feel comfortable in LA.”
This Is Us star Jon Huertas (Miguel Rivas on the show) is making it his personal mission to end homelessness. While Jon enjoys considerable success now, things once weren’t so easy for him. “I, at one point, for about two weeks, was in my truck with two dogs and all my stuff in the back of my pickup truck covered in a tarp. I didn’t have a roof and I didn’t know how soon I was going to get one and all it took was me reaching out to people I know who care to get me into a different situation. That’s kind of what we have to do as a society, as a community to reach out,” Jon continued saying, “You can’t look at someone and go, ‘That person’s homeless.’ You don’t know who is and who isn’t. Some people dress like they don’t care and their clothes are tattered; they might live in an apartment somewhere. There are people who dress very nice, but they may live in their car or even crashing on someone’s couch.” Jon is putting his money (and time) where his mouth is, volunteering with United Way. This past weekend, he co-hosted their annual 5K Home Walk alongside pal Seamus Dever. Since the walk began in 2006, proceeds from the walk have helped United Way house 18,000 people.
The Golden Globes have a new golden host! Seth Meyers is set to host the 75th annual Golden Globe Awards in January 2018. The comedian and Late Night host takes over hosting duties from pal Jimmy Fallon after the Tonight Show host headed the show in 2017. “The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is excited to have Seth Meyers host the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards,” HFPA president Meher Tatna said in a statement, according to Entertainment Weekly. “With his natural comedic wit and innate ability to charm audiences, Seth will help us carry on the celebratory tradition of recognizing the best in television and film at the Party of the Year.” Meyers follows in the footsteps of a few former Saturday Night Live alumni: Amy Poehler and Tina Fey also hosted the 2013, 2014 and 2015 editions of the annual telecast. He also previously hosted the 2014 Emmy Awards.
‘This Is Us’ star Justin Hartley (plays Kevin Pearson on the show) pretended to be Ryan Reynolds for a confused fan. Hartley says that he was at a charity event when a woman started telling him how great he is and how in love with him she is. According to Hartley, he didn’t have the heart to tell her that she had the wrong guy, so for five minutes, he says, “I just pretended like I was the coolest guy on Earth, Ryan Reynolds.”
