Demi Lovato loves herself, and she wants you to love yourself, too. The singer shared a new Instagram post embracing the virtues of being able to love yourself for who you are, no matter how difficult that may be sometimes.
“So, I’m insecure about my legs in this picture but I’m posting it because I look so happy and this year I’ve decided I’m letting go of my perfectionism and embracing freedom from self criticism,” she wrote, sharing a photo of herself in a bathing suit.
“Learning to love my body the way it is is challenging but life changing,” She added, “Giving up my eating disorder has been the most challenging journey of my life but I work every day towards solid recovery even if I mess up sometimes. Today I’m feeling strong. You all can do it too. It IS possible. Thank you God for this new chapter in my life.”
The singer has been candid about her battles with eating disorders, recently sharing before and after photos contrasting how she looked at different points of her recovery.
Madonna is starting 2018 off with a resolution to help more children in Malawi, the African country where four of her children were born.
She wrote, “Let’s start 2018 off right! I’m challenging you all to stand up, come together and BE the CHANGE you want to SEE in the World! This year we’ll begin by building 4 brand new schools in the Kasungu District of #Malawi.”
Madonna says she and her charity, Raising Malawi, will construct the schools in partnership with buildOn, a non-profit that says it constructs “a new school every three days in some of the economically poorest countries in the world.”
With the four new schools, Madonna writes, “That’s 14 schools in total that will help thousands of kids get the education they so rightfully deserve! Now is the time! Join the #revolutionoflove!”
Last year, Madonna officially opened the Mercy James Institute for Pediatric Surgery and Intensive Care in Malawi, which was funded by her charity. Built to serve both as a medical center and a training site for local doctors, it features three operating rooms for children’s surgery, a day clinic, a hospital ward, and a playroom.
Madonna’s son David, daughter Mercy James and five-year-old twins Stella and Esther were all adopted from Malawi.

Taylor Swift’s legal team is attempting to shake off a lawsuit filed against the singer. In September, songwriters Nathan Butler and Sean Hall claimed that Taylor’s No. 1 hit “Shake It Off” ripped off their song “Plays Gon’ Play,” a 2001 hit for the girl group 3LW. But in a new motion filed in U.S. district court in California, Taylor’s lawyers say that it’s impossible to claim plagiarism over the concept of “players gonna play/haters gonna hate.” The chorus of the 3LW song goes, “Playas, they gonna play, and haters, they gonna hate,” while Taylor’s song includes the lyrics “Players gonna play, play, play, play, play, and haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate.”
In addition, the lawyers said that Butler and Hall’s “claim to being the only ones in the world who can refer to players playing and haters hating is frivolous.” Taylor’s team is asking for the case to be dismissed.

For lovers of tabloid scandals, the news that Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie will both present at the 2018 Golden Globes came as a bit of a shock.
Jennifer was married to Brad Pitt from 2000-2005. Brad famously left Jen after meeting Angelina on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and together, the pair share six children. They split in 2016.
At the time of Jennifer and Brad’s split, she told Vanity Fair magazine: “I have to think there’s some reason I have called this into my life. I have to believe that – otherwise it’s just cruel.”
She added: “Am I lonely? Yes. Am I upset? Yes. Am I confused? Yes. Do I have my days when I’ve thrown a little pity party for myself? Absolutely.”
For Jennifer, those days appear to be in the past. She married actor Justin Theroux in 2015 after four years together.
The Golden Globe Awards take place this Sunday, January 7th and will air on NBC at 8 pm EST.
Serena Williams has dropped out of the Australian Open, which is set to begin in 10 days.
Serena gave birth to her first child in September, and she’d planned on beginning her comeback in Australia, where she’s the defending champion. But last week she lost to Jelena Ostapenko in her first match since giving birth.
In a Snapchat post, she said, “Although I’m super close, I’m not where I personally want to be. My coach and team always said ‘Only go to tournaments when you are prepared to go all the way.’
“With that being said I’m disappointed to say I’ve decided not to compete in The Australian Open this year.”
As you may recall, Serena won her record 23rd Grand Slam title at last year’s Australian Open . . . while she was nine weeks pregnant.
