Ed Sheeran revealed on Instagram over the weekend that he is engaged his longtime girlfriend (and high school crush) Cherry Seaborn. “Got myself a fiance just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx,” he captioned a photo of the pair.
Ed, who is 26, said in an interview that he wants to quit music once he becomes a father. He said, “My ambition is going to go to zero as soon as I have kids. ‘I am going to be like, ‘I do not really care anymore as I have another life to take care of,” he explains. “It is totally understandable because you have children and your ambition shifts to be like, ‘I want to be a good father.'” Ed adds, “To be honest my ambition is dwindling a little bit because I have achieved far more than I thought I ever would.”
Alexas Gonzales and Brittany Lewis, are two Texas women who fell in love in high school and got married this month after spending years battling people who didn’t want them to be in a relationship. Both are Taylor Swift fans and consider the pop star’s ballad “Love Story” to be their official song. They say, “The lyrics gave us hope that we’d make it through the hard times and end up together!” Well, Taylor apparently caught wind of the couple’s tale and sent them a bouquet and a sweet note on their wedding day. The note read, “Alexas and Brittany, you have no idea how honored I am that ‘Love Story’ has been such a big part of your beautiful love story. I’m absolutely thrilled that Lexi said YES!” she wrote. “Have the most magical wedding day, and hopefully I can meet you both soon! Love, Taylor.”
Get your sunglasses! Gwyneth Paltrow unveiled the giant rock Brad Falchuk presented her with when he asked her to marry him. The ring appears to be a sapphire, and as one would expect, takes up most of the real estate on the first digit of her ring finger.
Olivia Munn has shut down persistent rumours that she’s dating Chris Pratt by sharing a screenshot on Instagram of a recent text conversation between her and Chris’ ex-wife Anna Faris. She wrote, “Hey there! Sooo… I would never respond to random tabloid stories, but since we know each other, I wanted to reach out to you personally to tell you the story about me and Chris dating has 0% truth,” she continued saying, “I’m sure you already know it’s not true, or maybe didn’t care either way, but I just wanted to reach out personally to tell you it’s not true. Anyway, I hope you had an amazing holiday and an even better 2018.” Anna’s response? “Hi!!! Oh my god, this town is so f**king crazy. You are so sweet to text. I love you.” She jokingly added, “Having said that, if you were my new sister-in-law, I would be thrilled! Let’s please catch up soon.”
Ciara was slammed on Twitter over the weekend after she shared a video of pastor John W. Gray III discussing what women can do to find a husband. “You’re not a wife when I marry you, you’re a wife when I find you,” he declares. “A wife is not the presence of a ring. It is the presence of your character. Too many women want to be married but you’re walking in the spirit of girlfriend… Carry yourself like you’re already taken and I promise when you carry yourself like a wife, a husband will find you.” Ciara captioned the clip, “#LevelUp. Don’t settle.” The backlash was fierce. “I think we all could’ve guessed Ciara was going to be one of *those* women after she got married,” one person tweeted. Another wrote, “Ciara’s playing a dangerous game. You should never, no matter how perfect your relationship/marriage appears to be, sit on a throne and tell people why they’re not romantically successful. You can be the queen of the ball today and have cake in your face tomorrow!
Drake dropped a new song called “Diplomatic Immunity” on Friday that makes a reference to his short-lived fling with Jennifer Lopez. He raps, “2010 was when I lost my halo / 2017 I lost a J.Lo / A Rotterdam trip had me on front page, though.” Drake’s “Rotterdam trip” references the tabloid story last year that showed him having dinner with a mystery woman while J-Lo was back in the states. Drake and J-Lo are believed to have dated for several months until the beginning of 2017.
Miranda Lambert appeared to diss her ex-husband Blake Shelton by changing the lyrics to her song “Little Red Wagon” during a concert last week. Miranda was performing in Greenville, South Carolina, when she changed the (now outdated) line “I live in Oklahoma” to “I got the hell out of Oklahoma!” Miranda amously shared a home with Blake in his native Oklahoma while they were married. Following their 2015 divorce, Blake retained the Oklahoma home and Miranda kept their Nashville properties. While Blake has moved on with Gwen Stefani, Miranda is dating Anderson East.
Hailee Steinfeld is playing coy about reports that she’s dating Niall Horan. In a recent article she said, “I feel so lucky that [my fans] care enough about me to know what I’m doing every second of every day, but I think that sometimes it’s hard for people in general to realize that there are boundaries to a person’s life and personal life.” Rumours about Hailee and Niall hooking up began after they attended a production of Hamilton in London’s West End on January 2. Then, a week later Niall attended a birthday party for Hailee’s older brother Griffin. He also called Hailee “the loveliest person on the planet” and one of his best friends on Instagram back in December.
While the world seemed pleased on Thursday when Prince William made a public appearance sporting a newly shaved bald head, it seems the commoners are now revolting at the news that the 35-year-old royal paid a whopping $250 for what amounts to a simple buzzcut. According to my source, William plunked down 180 British pounds for the new ‘do, having the haircut done at Kensington Palace by Joey Wheeler, a “deputy” of Kate Middleton’s longtime hairdresser, Richard Ward. Meanwhile, Twitter is cutting William down to size for the exorbitant cost. “Someone honestly charged our future king 180 pounds for this?” one Twitter user asked, while another wrote, “180 pounds. For a 0 all over. I thought I was getting ripped off paying 21 pounds.”
Just in case you were wondering why Khloe Kardashian’s hair is curlier, the pregnant Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is ready to put your curiosity to rest. “I have been Brazilian Blow Drying my hair for years,” she said Saturday in a series of Snapchat videos, explaining that she went for the straight look because “you always want what you don’t have.” But “now that I’m pregnant I can’t do that, so my curl is slowly coming back,” the 33-year-old added.
Jersey Shore star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino pleaded guilty to one count of tax evasion in a federal courtroom on Friday. Mike and his brother Marc were scheduled to head to trial next month after rejecting a plea deal earlier this week. The 35-year-old “Situation” was accused of not paying all federal income tax owed on approximately $9 million earned between 2010 and 2012, while his brother was accused of helping him prepare a fraudulent tax return. Mike will be sentenced on April 25, but the judge said he could travel to Miami in the meantime to film a Jersey Shore reunion. “All of us are required by law to pay our fair share of taxes,” U.S. attorney Craig Carpenito said in a statement. “Celebrity status does not provide a free pass from this obligation.”
