Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sent out 600 wedding invites yesterday that read: “His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales…requests the pleasure of the company of ______ at the marriage of his royal highness Prince Henry of Wales with Ms. Meghan Markle at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on Saturday, 19th May 2018 at 12 noon followed by a reception at Windsor Castle’. Uniform. Morning coat or lounge suit, day dress with hat.”
The invitations contain a subtle reference to the fact that this isn’t Meghan’s first marriage. Royal invitations typically refer to the bride-to-be as “Miss.” However, because Meghan is a divorcee, she is referred to as “Ms” instead. Meghan was married to movie producer Trevor Engelson from 2011 to 2012. They split due to “irreconcilable differences.”
In other Royal wedding news, Prince Harry has invited his ex-girlfriend, pop star Ellie Goulding, to his wedding. They have remained friends and Ellie is reportedly really excited to attend. She will not be performing.
Pink has postponed a concert that was scheduled to take place in Montreal tonight night due to illness. She Tweeted yesterday: “Our entire family has been battling this awful virus/flu for two weeks now, and I have battled my way through these shows because postponing sucks,” she added. “I’m really sorry and know that I have done everything I could to avoid this.” A rescheduled date has yet to be announced.
Taylor Swift’s acting lessons seem to be going well. She’s been working with an acting coach for the last six months. According to my source, after her upcoming tour she will start taking scripts, take a break from music and will focus on movies. My source tells me her plan is to win an Oscar one day.
Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo was recently hospitalized with a kidney stone. She tweeted: ”Medical shows – ‘E.R.’ was on at the time and every time I watched it it made me anxious, hypochondriac, always thinking there was something wrong with me. It’s helped and hurt at different times. At certain times I think I know what to do and other times… I had a kidney stone on Saturday and ended up in the E.R., I thought I was dying, for sure. I didn’t know that was what it was.”
In other Ellen Pompeo news, she shut down rumors that her new multi-million dollar salary prompted her co-stars Jessica Capshaw and Sarah Drew to leave the show. “It’s absolutely not true,” she declared on Thursday’s episode of The View. “I’m not involved in these kinds of decisions.” She continued, “However, there’s a few problems that you encounter doing a show for 14 seasons. One of them is the writers have a really hard time creatively thinking up new stories for all these characters. I think we have 16 regular cast members. It’s always sad when we lose people–whether they want to go or they don’t want to go. It doesn’t make it any easier.”
American Idol judge Lionel Richie is begging Scott Disick to date someone other than his 19 year-old daughter Sofia. My source tells me that Lionel has reached out to Scott multiple times to end his relationship with Sofia. Lionel has made subtle hints to the media that he does not approve of the relationship. Lionel thinks Scott is too old, and his bad boy reputation is too much for Lionel. He thinks Scott is a bad influence on his much younger daughter. The concerned father has made pleas to Scott to leave his daughter alone and date someone his own age. Lionel is hoping Scott is more mature and respectful enough to obey his wishes, but so far no luck, which is breaking the dad’s heart.
Mike Peretz, who recently paid $500 for a meet and greet with Demi Lovato, says the singer refused to make eye contact with fans and was uninterested in hearing what they had to say. The University of Illinois student was allegedly shut down when he tried to tell Lovato that she inspired him. “After she took her picture with me, I was like, ‘Hey, I want to let you know, I am bipolar and anorexic and I have struggled with a lot of those things. You have been a big part of helping me and an inspiration in getting me to a good place and you have really helped me and saved my life. I just want to say thank you,’” Mike recalls. “She finally looked away from the camera and was like, ‘OK,’ and then looked back and that was it… She never even really looked at me or anything, she never really looked at anyone.” Mike adds, “When people go to you with their stories and you react like that, it can be dangerous. I am in a great place right now, but if I weren’t then, that could’ve been a dangerous thing. If you are someone’s inspiration, either adjust your brand or adjust your attitude at meet and greets. Especially when Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and all these people are known for having really great meet and greets.”
Chrissy Teigen has revealed the very simple reason she didn’t take husband John Legend’s last name when they got married. “You’ll never understand the simple reason of ‘because I don’t want to’?” the model tweeted on yesterday after a fan criticized her and other women for keeping their maiden names. Chrissy, added, “My husband didn’t even take his last name.” As fans know, Chrissy’s husband was born John Roger Stephens but uses “Legend” as his stage name.
