One of my sources tells me Brad Pitt and MIT professor Neri Oxman are designing a home together. Seems a little fast right? That’s why I am skeptical of the source… they say Brad and Neri have been secretly scouting location sites, looking for a perfect spot to make their artistic vision a groundbreaking reality. He’s nuts about Neri. He wants to build a palace with her… Their ‘special project’ is Brad’s dream come true!
T.I. isn’t ready to give up on Kanye West, despite all of the rapper’s recent headline-making outbursts. “We, as the black delegation, we can’t afford to lose Kanye West,” he declared during a recent radio interview. “What you talking about, man? That’s a catastrophic loss we’re talking about! What are we going to get for that? Elton John? Hell nah. I’m not going for that.” He continued, “I think he’s a phenomenal talent of our generation that deserves to be heard and considered, no matter how preposterous it may be. I disagree with it emphatically, but I can’t take away from—first of all, we gotta realize this is Kanye West we’re talking about. It ain’t even maybe 1 percent of the people on Earth that speak the language of Kanye West.” In a separate interview, T.I. revealed that when he confronted Kanye about supporting President Donald Trump and asked for his thoughts on the travel ban, Kanye replied, “What’s the travel ban?”
Will.i.am says that Kanye West’s recent comment that slavery was a choice “broke my heart.” “…Because I thought about my grandma, who was born in 1920, and her connection with her mom who raised her, who was born in the late 1800s,” Will.i.am said on Good Morning Britain Wednesday. “And my grandmother’s grandma, who was a slave. And when you’re a slave, you’re owned. You don’t choose if you’re owned. When you’re a slave you’re deprived of education. That’s not choice, that’s by force.” He added, “That statement was one of the most ignorant statements that anybody who came from the hood could ever say about their ancestors, that slavery is a choice. What are you talking about?”
If you decided to wait a week before seeing “Avengers: Infinity War” so the theaters wouldn’t be packed, you might want to wait another week. Because experts think it’s going to make at least another $115 million this weekend.
Believe it or not, that won’t be a record. Remember how “Avengers” took the title of biggest opening weekend in U.S. history from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”? Well, “The Force Awakens” also holds the record for biggest SECOND weekend . . . with $149 million. That’s gonna be hard to beat.
Ellen DeGeneres committed a divorce don’t on Wednesday’s episode of her show when she accidentally added “Tatum” to Jenna Dewan’s name. Us Weekly notes that Ellen quickly corrected herself and said “sorry” after introducing Dewan by her married name, despite the fact that she and Channing Tatum announced their separation last month. Later on, DeGeneres added, “I’m so sorry. I introduced you and it was such a habit, and I have to say the way that you and Channing are handling everything is beautiful for your daughter and the statements have been great. I apologize.” Dewan–who appeared on Ellen alongside her World of Dance co-stars Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo and Derek Hough–responded, “I know. Thank you. Honestly, thank you and everybody for all the love and support. It’s truly so amazing. Thank you. It’s all love!”
Meghan Markle’s estranged brother, Thomas Jr, allegedly wrote a letter to Prince Harry that reads … “As more time passes to your royal wedding, it became very clear that this is the biggest mistake in royal wedding history. Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you.” he also adds that she is a “jaded, shallow, conceited woman that will make a joke of you and the royal family heritage. “Not to mention, to top it all off, she doesn’t invite her own family and instead invites complete strangers to the wedding. Who does that? You and the royal family should put an end to this fake fairytale wedding before it’s too late.” Tom concludes his letter with, “Also you would think that a royal wedding would bring a torn family closer together, but I guess we are all distant family to Meg.”
Apparently, Meghan’s sister, Samantha, defended Meghan by posting; “Give her a chance! I’ve always been vocal about the things I admire about her and the public has taking [sic] this too far. My brother needs to stop the alcoholism and lies.”
Wedding details: Harry and Meghan will take their first ride as husband and wife in an 1883 horse drawn carriage.
I have also heard that Queen Elizabeth may gift Harry and Meghan with a country home for their wedding. Sweet gift!
Kanye West’s comments about slavery being a “choice” are earning him attention, but they could end up costing him. There’s an online petition asking Adidas to drop his sneaker line.
It says, “Kanye West has a right to free speech, and he has the right to spout lies and misinformation and misplaced opinions . . . but we as consumers have the right to fight back against this type of dangerous propaganda.”
Temple University student Sylvia Wilson is being called a hero after sliding into Michael B. Jordan’s direct messages–and actually meeting the actor. BuzzFeed reports that the 21-year-old offered to buy Jordan a smoothie after learning he was nearby shooting scenes for Creed 2. When Jordan responded that she didn’t have to buy him anything, and could come meet him on set, Wilson gathered her girls and headed to meet him. “He was so sweet and nice,” Sylvia said. “He was more than happy to take pictures with me and my friends that came with me!” She adds, “He smelled like Mahogany Teakwood from Bath & Body Works but better.” Since posting the photos on Twitter, “sliding into DMs” has now been dubbed “pulling a Sylvia.” One Twitter user also sent the photo of Sylvia and Jordan to the actor, telling him, “Just lettin you know, all of Twitter is rootin’ for y’all.”
Sandra Bullock’s stalker committed suicide in his home on Wednesday after he was confronted by officers for failing to show up for a court hearing. Joshua James Corbett was 43. The Los Angeles resident, who spent almost three years in jail after he was arrested in 2014 for breaking into Sandra’s home while she was there, had been on supervised probation that required regular check-ins with the court. When police arrived at his house on Wednesday to serve him with an arrest warrant, he barricaded himself and killed himself. “It’s really sad. He has been having some mental health issues and hadn’t been doing really well, according to his dad, and he didn’t want to come to court,” Corbett’s attorney Steve Sitkoff said. “I just think it is emblematic of the fact that our system is not really designed to really help people with some serious mental health issues that overlap with criminal cases.”
In a new cover story, Sandra Bullock calls for people to stop using the term “adopted child.” “Let’s all just refer to these kids as ‘our kids,'” she declares. “Don’t say, ‘my adopted child.’ No one calls their kid their ‘IVF child’ or their ‘Oh, s**t, I went to a bar and got knocked up child.’ Let’s just say, ‘our children.'” Sandra, who adopted 8-year-old son Louis and 5-year-old daughter Laila in Lousiana, goes on to gush of her children’s personalities. “Lou is super sensitive. I call him my 78-year-old son… He’s wise and kind,” she explains. “I saw that when they handed him to me. There was a spiritual bigness to him. I was like, ‘I hope I don’t eff that up.’ Laila is just unafraid. She’s a fighter, and that’s the reason she’s here today. She fought to keep her spirit intact. Oh my God, what she is going to accomplish. She’s going to bring some real change.”
