According to my source, Katy Perry is doing everything she can to make her relationship with Orlando Bloom work. She is making sure they see each other as much as possible. She meets Orlando wherever he is working and she expects the same from him. They have an understanding now of each other and what will make this work.
Brody Jenner and his blogger fiancee Kaitlynn Carter’s destination wedding in Bali won’t be attended by Kendall, Kylie or Caitlyn. “Kendall and Kylie didn’t even bother to RSVP,” Meanwhile, Caitlyn is skipping the ceremony due to scheduled work commitments. It’s unclear why Kendall and Kylie aren’t going, given that Kendall spent a “low key” Memorial Day weekend with her friends and Kylie attended a basketball game with baby daddy Travis Scott on Monday. However, Brody hasn’t always had a great relationship with his family: He told paparazzi back in February that he didn’t even know Kylie was pregnant when she gave birth to her daughter Stormi.
Kim Kardashian took to her blog on Tuesday to open up about how she gets fit for summer. The secret: sprints. “They’re so hard, but so necessary,” she wrote. The reality star went on to say that her trainer Melissa Alcantara created a five-day workout plan for her. On days 1, 3 and 5, she walks “on the StairMaster for 30 min at a six-level speed.” And on days 2 and 4, she does sprints. “Start by walking on the treadmill for 30 seconds, then sprint for 30 seconds. Repeat this 10 times. It’s some of the best 10 minutes of HIIT you can get!” Kim writes.
“Roseanne” was TV’s most-watched show this year . . . but yesterday, ABC canceled it after Roseanne Barr posted a racist Tweet about former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett, who’s African American.
She Tweeted, “Muslim Brotherhood and ‘Planet of the Apes’ had a baby [equals] VJ.” Apparently, she thought it was funny, but even she realized that she crossed a line . . . after she found out she was in trouble.
A few hours later, she Tweeted, “I’m now leaving Twitter . . . I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I’m truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should’ve known better. Forgive me, my joke was in bad taste.”
Valerie seems like a random target . . . but Roseanne Tweets about conspiracy theories a lot, and in this case she was responding to a Tweet alleging that Valerie helped “hide” various Obama-era secrets.
ABC wasted no time in firing her. Three hours after her apology they announced that she was done, because of the Tweet. ABC is owned by Disney, and they weren’t having it. CEO Bob Iger Tweeted, “There was only one thing to do here, and that was the right thing.” He also said, quote, “You can’t debate what is morally right.”
For the record, Valerie is not Muslim and is not a member of the Muslim Brotherhood . . . not that it should matter to anyone. She was born in Iran in 1956, but her parents are Americans. Her father was there running a hospital for children.
Yesterday, Valerie responded, “We have to turn it into a teaching moment. I’m fine. I’m worried about all the people out there who don’t have a circle of friends and followers coming to their defense.” (Here’s video.)
Roseanne didn’t just lose her show. She was also dropped by her agency, ICM Partners, which called the Tweet “disgraceful and unacceptable.”
Meanwhile, “Roseanne” is disappearing everywhere, Hulu dropped it . . . and the Paramount Network, TV Land, and CMT have pulled their scheduled re-runs.
Here’s the thing… Roseanne Barr has NOT left Twitter, at least not yet. Last night, she issued a second apology . . . and this one seemed a little more sincere.
In a series of Tweets, she said, “Don’t feel sorry for me, guys! I just want to apologize to the hundreds of people, and wonderful writers (all liberal), and talented actors who lost their jobs on my show due to my stupid Tweet . . .
“Losing my show is ‘0’ compared to being labelled a racist over one Tweet . . .
“It was 2 in the morning and I was Ambien-tweeting. It was Memorial Day too. I went too far, and do not want it defended. It was egregious, indefensible . . .
“[And] please don’t start all of that boycott ABC stuff . . . I’m not a censor and they have the right to do what they wish.
She also Tweeted an apology AT Valerie, and said, quote, “I am truly sorry. My whole life has been about fighting racism. I made a terrible mistake.”
Roseanne said she’d discuss it further on Joe Rogan’s podcast this Friday.
Roseanne Barr didn’t only get herself fired . . . everyone connected with her show is out of work. Although, several of them were going to quit themselves.
WANDA SYKES was working as a writer, consultant and producer on the show. But as soon as she saw the Tweet, she said she would not be returning . . . which obviously became a moot point.
SARA GILBERT (Darlene) also denounced Roseanne before the show was canceled. Clearly, she saw the writing on the wall.
She said, “Roseanne’s comments [are] abhorrent and do not reflect the beliefs of our cast and crew or anyone associated with our show. I’m disappointed in her actions to say the least. This is incredibly sad and difficult for all of us.
“We’ve created a show that we believe in, are proud of, and that audiences love . . . one that’s separate and apart from the opinions and words of one cast member.”
JOHN GOODMAN hasn’t commented, but he was spotted walking his dog in New Orleans, and looking . . . well . . . not terribly jovial.
EMMA KENNEY (Darlene’s daughter Harris) called her manager to quit the show, and that’s when she was told that ABC was already shutting it down.
Emma praised ABC for, “standing up against abuse of power and lack of values,” and added, quote, “bullies do not win. Ever.”
MICHAEL FISHMAN (D.J.) called Roseanne’s comments “reprehensible and intolerable.” He added, quote, “In this moment it is important to be clear. We must stand-up against bias, hatred, bigotry, and ignorance to make society a better place for all.”
Obviously, ABC couldn’t have continued “Roseanne” WITHOUT Roseanne, but some random guy had a BRILLIANT idea: Quote, “Can we just rebrand the show “Dan” and have John Goodman hang out with Jeff Bridges . . . while slowly transitioning the whole thing to a “Big Lebowski” TV run?”
Pusha-T has clapped back at Drake in a new freestyle called “The Story of Adidon.” In the diss track finds Pusha raps over JAY-Z’s “The Story of O.J.” and alleges that Drake is the father of porn star Sophie Brussaux’s child. Pusha also takes a shot at Drake’s longtime collaborator Noah “40” Shebib, who has Multiple Sclerosis, saying “OVO 40 hunches over like he’s 80/Tick, tick, tick/How much time he got?/That man is sick, sick, sick.” The single’s artwork shows Drake in blackface makeup. On Friday, Pusha-T reignited his beef with Drake by taking shots at the rapper on his new song “Infared.” The same day, Drizzy released a track called “Duppy Freestyle,” in which he slams Pusha and Kanye West. According to NME, Pusha says he is “ready for everything that comes with” being in a feud with Drake.
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are maybe together. Nick who is 25 and Priyanka who is 35 have been spotted hanging out on friends boats together, at a baseball game together, and last Friday the pair were spotted together at the Beauty and the Beast Live concert at the Hollywood Bowl. This rumour of them together started back in May 2017 when they walked the red carpet at the Met Gala together.
SZA claimed in a series of tweets yesterday night that her vocal cords are injured beyond repair. “Tonight was the test. That settles that. My voice is permanently injured, Great! Yay!” Last week, SZA explained on Instagram that she was taking a break from the TDE Championship Tour because her vocal cords were strained. “I’ve been troubleshooting for a while now and usually steroids and pushing through help,” she said at the time. “They don’t this time. I’m not sick, my voice just won’t f**king work.”
