On last night’s episode of The Bachelorette, well… lots happened. Things got messy on the first group date of the night, when male model Jordan decided to brag about how many matches he got on Tinder this year (4,000!) and fellow suitor David ratted him out to Becca. In a strange turn of events, described by Jordan as “karma,” David later fell out of his bed and had to be rushed to the emergency room. Pro football player Clay also seriously injured his wrist while trying to impress Becca during a football-themed group date. When the doctor said Clay would have to undergo surgery immediately if we wants to continue his football career, he decided to exit the show early. Becca got emotional over his departure, but respected his commitment to supporting his family financially.

Former Hills villain Spencer Pratt, who often documents his love of Taylor Swift on social media, has revealed that Taylor treated him and his wife Heidi to front-row seats at her concert to thank them for being such huge fans while she faced public backlash. “Everyone was throwing snakes on her comments because of something I knew in my heart that Taylor Swift would have never [done],” Spencer declared in a recent interview. “She’s the biggest star on the planet. She doesn’t need to approve Kanye to say some trashy a** lyrics like that.” He added that Taylor’s publicist even brought him, Heidi and their baby boy Gunner backstage. “She brought us into her dressing room before the show, and her and her mom were thanking me for my support,” he recalled. He added that Taylor gave them her full attention and is “the real deal.”
Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson just publicly confirmed that they’re dating two weeks ago . . . and they’re moving incredibly fast.
A couple days after that, Pete got a couple of tattoos inspired by Ariana, and now they’ve found another way to express that they’ll be together until death.
According to reports, they’re already engaged.
They’ve been dating longer than those two weeks, but it’s still been less than a month, which probably feels like an eternity to them. It was only a month ago that Ariana broke up with Mac Miller, her boyfriend of two years.
There’s no official comment from Ariana or Pete.
Alec Baldwin is confident he would be the next president of the United States if he decided to run against Donald Trump in 2020. He says, “I would absolutely win. One thousand percent,” he continued, “…It would be the funniest, most exciting, most crazy campaign.” Alec went on to say, however, that Democrats shouldn’t bet on him. “I’m only saying that [about 0=”running”] because people really don’t have a sense of who is gonna come up. I mean, somebody great is gonna come up, I hope,” he continued. “But the only reason I say it is because I’d love to run for that kind of position–to have things be very common sense. There’s so many things this country needs to do that are so obvious.”

After receiving a standing ovation for saying “F**k Trump” during Sunday’s Tony Awards telecast, Robert De Niro apologized for the American president’s behavior during an appearance in Toronto on Monday. Taking the podium at a groundbreaking for a development he’s partnering on with celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa, De Niro said, “I just want to make a note of apology for the idiotic behavior of my president,” adding, “I apologize to Justin Trudeau and the other people at the G7.” To this, the CBC reports that Toronto Mayor John Tory replied, “Thank you.”
Nearly 80 percent of film critics are male, according to a new study conducted by the University of Southern California’s Annenberg Inclusion Initiative. Researchers looked at 19,559 reviews posted on Rotten Tomatoes in 2017 and found that 77.8 percent were written by male critics and 22.2 percent were by female critics. Stacy Smith, founder and director of the Inclusion Initiative, also described the critics as “overwhelmingly white and male.” Researchers suggest that the lack of diverse perspectives on films contributes to the gender and ethnic biases that are rampant in the film industry.
