Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have reportedly called off their engagement. According to my source it happened over the weekend. I hear that the decision was mutual, with them both agreeing the timing wasn’t right.
The couple got engaged in June after only dating for a few weeks. Over the summer, they moved into a Manhattan apartment that was reportedly on the market for $16 million. The pair were scheduled to attend the 2018 Emmys together last month, but chose to stay home in New York instead.
At the time her rep said, “Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend.”
Ariana has been vocal about her need to step away from the spotlight in the wake of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller’s death of an apparent overdose and a May 2017 terrorist attack at her show in Manchester, England, that killed 22 concertgoers and injured more than 500 others.
Just a few weeks ago, she tweeted a series of messages alluding to her mental state, including “can i pls have one okay day. just one. pls.” and “i’m so tired pls” and “everything will be okay.”
Not surprisingly, the internet blew up after the breakup news. One fan created a Go Fund Me for Pete Davidson, calling it “Pete Davidson Homeless” and seeking to raise $2,500.
Following the Drake show in L.A. this weekend Adele Tweeted, “Oiii Champagne Papi blew my mind tonight! Best production I’ve ever seen hands down and way up there with one of my favorite shows of all time. Huge love.”

In the latest installment of “crazy things Kanye West has said,” the rapper and designer is claiming he scored 133 on an IQ test. “I just got back my IQ scores. It’s Mensa level–[a 0=”score” 1=”of”] 133, 98 percentile,” Kanye says in a new video rant posted during a family trip in Uganda on Saturday. “Straight up Sigmund Freud, Tesla vibes.” Kanye goes on to liken “when people try to tell me what to do” to someone “touching my brain,” and described the attempt to control his thinking to someone trying to control a woman. “She wants to be in control of her body and choose who she gives it too,” he adds. “And no one can come up and touch it, or take it, or tell her what to do with it. It’s up to her what she does with it. I feel like that with my mind.” Kanye also live-streamed an impromptu musical performance from Uganda on Sunday.
Meanwhile Kim Kardashian is reportedly “not embarrassed” by husband Kanye West’s controversial visit with President Donald Trump on Thursday. According to CNN, a source close to the Kardashian family confirms that “Kim is incredibly supportive.” Ahead of the meeting, Kim said, “I always say he isn’t the best communicator, but he has the best heart. I know what he wants to accomplish…and I can’t wait to see that happen.”
