Tom Hanks is not here for people who are not wearing masks. As many will recall, Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were among the first celebs to reveal that they tested positive for COVID-19. Since then, they have been outspoken advocates of prevention and treatment. At a press conference promoting his upcoming film Greyhound, he said: “There’s really only three things we can do in order to get to tomorrow: Wear a mask, social distance, wash our hands.”

Christopher Nolan’s team clarified Anne Hathaway’s claim in Variety that the director does not allow chairs on set. His rep told IndieWire: “For the record, the only things banned from [Christopher 0=”Nolan’s”] sets are cell phones (not always successfully) and smoking (very successfully). The chairs Anne was referring to are the directors chairs clustered around the video monitor, allocated on the basis of hierarchy not physical need. Chris chooses not to use his but has never banned chairs from the set. Cast and crew can sit wherever and whenever they need and frequently do.”
