CLORIS LEACHMAN died of natural causes. She was 94 years old. She won an Oscar for the 1971 drama “The Last Picture Show”. Her other credits included “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “Young Frankenstein”. She did “Dancing with the Stars” in 2008, when she was 82.

Chadwick Boseman has scored a posthumous 2021 Independent Spirit Award nomination. Chadwick, who died in August after a private 4-year battle with colon cancer, earned a nod for best male lead for his performance in the 2020 film “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom”. The movie marks his final film role. The 36th Independent Spirit Awards will take place on April 22nd.
