Bio:

There’s never been a doubt that Romy Mounzer was born to sing and entertain. Music and its many genres appealed to her since early childhood. Her family recognized her talent at the age of 5. She would prance around in little outfits and pick up objects pretending they were mics and sing and dance, mimicking different singers.
Most of her inspirations derived from artists such as Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston. “These three artists will always be icons to me and we can all agree when I say that they all share one thing in common….AMAZINGGG Pipes.” Growing up, she also looked up to artists such as Barbara Streisand, Brandi, Monica, Boys II Men, Michael Jackson and Christina Aguilera. She gained a greater love and understanding for music by singing, writing, recording and performing at weddings, various festivals, charity events, talent shows, lounges and by participating in several singing competitions. Chin Radio and Majic 100 acclaimed her for her highly dynamic and angelic voice. Most of her original songs are featured on Chin Radio 97.9 FM. Her Christmas song, Christmas Everywhere was featured on majic 100.3 FM for two consecutive years. It is playing on the radio this year and people can’t seem to get enough of it due to its addictive beat and hopeful message. The messages, f eedback and pouring love she’s been getting regarding her song is beyond belief.

She has had the opportunity to perform the national anthem during RCMP Appreciation Night for the Ottawa Redblacks, which was a very exhilarating and fulfilling experience for her. She also does a lot of singing for the RCMP. She performs the national anthem every year at the RCMP Sunset Ceremonies-Musical Ride.

Born in Ottawa with Lebanese roots, Romy is known for experimenting with different sounds and instruments and vocal styles that will surely redefine pop music. She also writes all of her songs. She has much to offer such as diversity, life experiences, lyrical content, depth, but most importantly, passion; her passion and love for the music. She is currently in the process of completing her music EP in the hopes of becoming a rising star in the music industry. “My love for the music is reflected in my enthusiasm and dedication to want to share my gift with the world. I need but two instruments, MY VOICE and MY HEART.”
