Taylor Swift’s new “Midnights” album is off to a record-breaking start. It sold more than 800,000 copies on its first day of release Friday across all formats. First day sales alone gave it the largest sales week for any album since 2017, and made it the the top-selling album of 2022. It also broke Spotify’s all time record for most-streamed album in one day.
Beyoncé released her album “Renaissance” in July and now fans get to experience it live! Queen Bey just subtly confirmed her tour at the Wearable Art Gala, in Santa Monica, on Saturday. “The Renaissance World Tour” is going to kick off in the summer of 2023.
Blake Shelton sold his master recordings earlier this month to Influence Media Partners. The deal was dubbed a “groundbreaking deal.” According to the press release, the deal between Blake and Influence Media covered all of his releases from 2001 to 2019. The amount of the deal was not disclosed, but Influence Media recently announced a $750 million fund platform to invest in high-value compositions.
Motley Crue and Def Leppard are taking their recent summer stadium across the globe, announcing a 2023 world tour. The bands’ recent trek brought in a whopping $173.5 million.

Ellen DeGeneres is back with a new short docu-style comedy series. “About Time For Yourself… with Ellen” will be shared weekly on the retired talk show host’s YouTube channel, and the first episode went out on Saturday. The 8-episode series finds the comedian learning new skills at home, like crocheting, bird watching, making cards, and more.
Kendrick Lamar’s “Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City” turned 10 last week, and it has remained on the Billboard 200 albums chart since its release, a total of 520 weeks. The album peaked at #2 on Nov. 10, 2012.

Paris Hilton thoroughly enjoyed being “serenaded” by a deepfake Tom Cruise in a video she posted to Instagram on Saturday. In the video, Fake Cruise sings Elton John and Britney Spears’ recent version of “Hold Me Closer” to her. “Nothing like being serenaded with my favorite #Britney Spears and @Elton John song,” Paris captioned the post.
