The Golden Globe Awards are returning to television in 2023, and Jerrod Carmichael will host. The ceremony will take place on January 10th. The Globes are back on NBC after a year off due to controversy surrounding the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s operations and diversity.
The band had already canceled two of its Las Vegas residencies last week and now Aerosmith is also canceling its last two dates at the Dolby Live. The band’s latest statement says singer Steven Tyler is “still sick” with his doctors ordering him to sit out the last two shows this weekend. The band’s reps won’t give details on his condition or if Aerosmith’s ‘Deuces are Wild’ residency will return to Vegas.
Elton John and The Rolling Stones has a very good year, hosting two of the biggest tours in 2022. Elton, who hosted the second-highest earning tour just behind rapper Bad Bunny, earned $334 million with 85 “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” dates. The Rolling Stones hosted the sixth highest earning tour this year, bringing in just over $179 million in only 20 shows! Four other rock tours earned over $100 million this year; the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Def Leppard and Motley Crue, Paul McCartney and The Eagles.
The Weeknd’s “I Can’t Feel My Face” reaches Diamond status. The song was certified by the RIAA as a 10 million unit seller. With this accomplishment, The Weeknd has four Diamond singles. His other Diamond tracks include “The Hills,” “Starboy,” and “Blinding Lights.”
Céline Dion has been diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder. In a video message to fans, the 54-year-old shared that she has stiff-person syndrome, a “very rare” condition that can cause muscle spasms.
