CBS is bringing some of the biggest names in country music into our homes for New Year’s Eve. The network has announced that Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean, and more country music superstars will appear on “New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash”, airing Dec. 31 on CBS.
Eddie Murphy will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 80th Golden Globe Awards. Eddie, a previous Globes winner and 6-time nominee, will be on hand to accept the award at the ceremony, set to air live Jan. 10 from the Beverly Hilton hotel.
Harry Styles suffered a wardrobe malfunction during his show in Brazil. Videos show that he ripped the pants of his sparkly jumpsuit. He can be seen bending over to inspect the damage, before covering his groin area and hilariously skipping away. Later, he triumphantly returns to the stage with a makeshift skirt made from a flag, to finish the show.
Brad Paisley is among the performers in “Homeward Bound: A Grammy Salute to the Songs of Paul Simon”, airing Dec. 21 on CBS. The show, recorded in April, also features Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, Eric Church, Susanna Hoffs, Jonas Brothers, Sting, Stevie Wonder and more. Paul Simon also makes a “special appearance”.
Morgan Wallen has made history, becoming the first artist ever to have songs simultaneously occupy the entire top 3 of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. ‘You Proof’, ‘One Thing At a Time’, and ‘Wasted On You’ head the chart dated Dec. 17.
Trevor Noah has been announced as host for the 2023 Grammy Awards. His return to the stage on Feb. 5 for Music’s Biggest Night marks his third year in the role. He joins LL Cool J as the only Grammys host to lead three or more separate years of ceremonies.

Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland is hosting a reality dating show for FARMERS. It’s called “Farmer Wants a Wife”, and it’ll premiere March 8th on Fox. It’s actually a reboot of an old show that ran in 2008 on The CW. A single farmer meets a bunch of CITY girls, and decides which one to marry.
Jason Momoa is hosting a reality competition series about rock climbing called “The Climb”. It premieres January 12th on HBO Max.
Beyonce and Amazon Music have announced Club Renaissance LA. The event is set to take place in Los Angeles this weekend on December 17th and 18th. No further details have been revealed, outside of the ‘Renaissance’ album will be played in Dolby Atmos.
J-Hope of BTS, Duran Duran, and New Edition are set to ring in 2023 with ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest’. The New Year’s Eve event from New York City’s Times Square, will air live on ABC.
Lewis Capaldi and Niall Horan went into the studio and recorded a stirring version of U2’s “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.” The clip released online this week is from of the documentary called “Niall Horan’s Homecoming: The Road to Mullingar With Lewis Capaldi”. Up until now, it was only available to view on Amazon Prime.
The Weeknd has been named the 2022 recipient of the Allan Slaight Humanitarian Spirit Award in honor of his commitment to charitable causes. The Canadian organization is known for their generous philanthropy and will donate $50,000 to the charity of his choice. About that, The Weeknd said, “It’s an honor to be recognized along with the legendary Canadian artists who received this award before me.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Yellowjackets” has been renewed for a third season. The news comes three months before the show’s Season 2 premiere.
