It’s shaping up to be a glorious week for Sam Smith as the album, “Gloria” is in place to debut at #1 on the U.K. Albums Chart. The 13-track collection features the #1 song, “Unholy,” a collaboration with Kim Petras, as well as “Gimme” and “Love Me More.”
“Abbott Elementary” star Quinta Brunson has just been named the host of the 2023 Billboard Women in Music Awards. The award-winning actress will host the show on March 1 at the YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Los Angeles. During the show, Becky G, Lana Del Rey, Lainey Wilson, Latto, Kim Petras, and Ivy Queen will be honored.
Harry Styles wrapped up his 15th show at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, and to commemorate the impressive string of sold-out shows, the venue honored the pop star with his own special banner. A video is going viral showing Harry gazing up at a massive green banner with his name written underneath his tour title, Love on Tour. He then raises his fists up in victory while the arena breaks out in cheers.
Bon Jovi’s video for “Livin’ on A Prayer” is the latest to get over a billion YouTube views. The 1986 video was shot during concert rehearsals in Los Angeles. Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer” now joins other videos like Guns N’ Roses’ “November Rain” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” Linkin Park’s “Numb,” Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” and Audioslave’s “Like a Stone,” in the billion plays club.
Kelly Clarkson is making history as the first woman to host the NFL Honors! The sports award show happens ahead of Super Bowl LVII. Kelly will be the first woman to host this year’s NFL Honors on Feb. 9 at Symphony Hall in Phoenix.
SZA’s “SOS” continues to rule the chart. The album is number one on the Billboard 200 for the seventh consecutive week. “SOS” is the first R&B album to spend its first seven weeks at number one since Whitney Houston’s 1987 classic, “Whitney”.
“The Last of Us” is giving Linda Ronstadt a Kate Bush moment. The third episode of the HBO zombie series caused a huge surge in Spotify streams for Linda’s 1970 hit ‘Long, Long Time’. The streamer tweeted: “On Sunday, January 29th…there was more than 4900% increase in U.S. streams of “Long Long Time” by Linda Ronstadt.”
The 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards will be hosted by Charli D’Amelio and Nate Burleson on March 4th. “Stranger Things” leads with six nominations, followed by Taylor Swift with five. Voting is open now.
Sad news for “Bridgerton” fans. Phoebe Dynevor has revealed her character likely won’t make an appearance in season 3 of the Netflix hit show. The actress, who plays ‘Daphne Bridgerton’, dropped the bombshell when asked in an interview if there are any “exciting dynamics coming up for Daphne” in the upcoming season. Her response: “Sadly, not in season 3. Potentially in the future.”

“Dr. Phil” is coming to an end after the current season, which will conclude this spring. The show debuted in 2002, after Dr. Phil got his start on “Oprah” in the ’90s.

The nominees have been announced for the 2023 Juno Awards and The Weeknd leads with six nods. He’s up for artist of the year, single of the year, album of the year, songwriter of the year, fan choice, as well as Pop album of the year. Avril Lavigne and Tate McRae follow with five. Also of note, Nickelback, who’s nominated for best rock album, will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame during the show and will perform. Junos will be held March 13 in Edmonton, Alberta.
The Kid Laroi has announced a college tour and plans to stop at university towns across the United States this spring. “The Bleed For You Tour” kicks off March 22 in Syracuse, New York and will include stops throughout the East Coast, the Midwest and the South.
Chris Martin revealed that Coldplay is finishing up their 10th studio album. This will be volume two of “Music Of The Spheres” album. They’ve titled it, “Moon Music”. He didn’t give a release date, but said that it won’t be anytime soon.
Adam Levine‘s wife, Behati Prinsloo gave birth to their third child. The Maroon 5 frontman, 43, and the former Victoria’s Secret model, 34 did not reveal the baby’s birth date, name or gender. They’ve been married since 2014 and also have two young daughters, age 6 and 4.
