Ahead of her Super Bowl halftime performance, Rihanna is making an appearance at Madame Tussauds in wax. Madame Tussauds announced Rihanna is getting a new wax figure at the New York location of the world-famous museum. Her wax twin will be sporting her iconic 2018 Met Gala look.
The GLAAD Media Awards will honor performers who have made a difference for LGBTQ+ people. Bad Bunny will be recognized with the GLAAD’s Vanguard award for being an ally to the community. Christina Aguilera will receive GLAAD’s Advocate for Change award for her activism. The GLAAD Media Awards take place on March 30th.
“The Idol” starring The Weeknd, Lily-Rose Depp, will reportedly premiere this June on HBO. In a recent interview, HBO executives confirmed that “The Idol” would premiere after the 4th season of “Succession”.
Live from New York … it’s Prince Harry! Or, at least it almost was. The renegade royal was in talks last year to host “Saturday Night Live,” according to reports. Sources are quoted as saying that SNL producers were in discussions with Harry in the run-up to the January release of his memoir, “Spare,” but talks stalled at the 11th hour.
The Weeknd’s 2016 song ‘Die For You’ has hit #1 on Billboard’s all-format Radio Songs chart, and the top 40-based Pop Airplay chart. Sparked by a surge of interaction on TikTok, the song has completed the longest journey from a title’s release to #1 on Radio Songs since the chart began in 1990.
Luke Combs has revealed the 18-song track list for his new album “Gettin’ Old,” out March 24. Luke co-wrote 15 of the songs, which include the fan-favorite ‘5 Leaf Clover’, a cover of Tracy Chapman’s ‘Fast Car’, and ‘My Song Will Never Die’, co-written by Eric Church
Brandi Carlile played wedding singer when Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi recently renewed their vows. The ceremony was a surprise to Ellen. Brandi was originally only an attendee at Portia’s 50th birthday celebration, but Portia took her aside and asked her to sing Roberta Flack’s ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ as she walked out in a wedding dress.

John Legend has added a few songs and released a solo piano version of his most recent album, “Legend”. Additional songs include renditions of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and Sade’s “By Your Side.” To celebrate its release, John will perform two special solo shows at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles on February 13th and February 14th.
Bebe Rexha has announced her next single, “Heart Wants What It Wants.” Last week she teased it with a short clip of her singing along to the track. Then on Wednesday she revealed the release date as February 17.
New dates were posted by Fall Out Boy that will take them through the UK and Europe as part of their headlining tour. The 15 date leg will kick off in Warsaw, Poland on October 17 and wrap in Berlin on November 8. Just last week, the band announced that Chicago will get the first show of their North American leg on June 21.
The Whitney Houston biopic, “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” is now available to stream online. Starring Naomi Ackie and Stanley Tucci, the film takes audiences through the superstar’s emotional journey from New Jersey choir girl, to one of the most prolific recording artists of all time.
The Daily Show has announced the next round of guest hosts. Hasan Minhaj, who previously served as a correspondent on the show, will host during the week of February 27th. He will be followed by Marlon Wayons (Week of March 6th), Kal Penn (Week of March 13th), Al Franken (Week of March 20th) and John Leguizamo (week of March 27th).
Disney CEO Bob Iger announced during a Q1 earnings call that sequels to “Toy Story”, “Frozen” and “Zootopia” are all in the works. According to Deadline he said, “We’ll have more to share about these productions soon, but this is a great example of how we’re leaning into our unrivaled brands and franchises.”
Julia Louis-Dreyfus is dropping her first podcast this spring. Variety reports that the 10-episode series, “Wiser Than Me”, will feature “candid, witty conversations” with women over the age of 70 such as guests Jane Fonda and Fran Lebowitz.
