The world of ‘John Wick’ is getting even bigger. The TV prequel “The Continental” will premiere this September. The 3-part series is set in 1975 and centers on the assassin hotel from the “John Wick” movies. Colin Woodell will play a young ‘Winston Scott’. The series will follow Winston has he faces demons from his past, while making his way through the New York underground to take control of the hotel.
Some of the biggest names in Hollywood are rushing to sell their multi-million-dollar houses in LA before a new “mansion tax” kicks in. In November, voters supported a measure which is intended to raise up to $1 billion from luxury house sales to fund affordable housing projects. Beginning this Saturday, the sellers of homes valued between $5-10 million will pay a 4% tax to the city, and those selling homes over $10 million will pay a 5.5% tax.
Robert Downey Jr. is reportedly set to star in a remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s psychological thriller “Vertigo”. Paramount Pictures is planning to remake the 1958 classic, with the “Iron Man” star and his wife Susan to produce.
Taylor Swift brought out special guest Marcus Mumford during the second night of her “Eras Tour” stop in Las Vegas on Saturday. Despite telling fans during night one that “we don’t have guests at this show,” Taylor invited the Mumford & Sons frontman for her debut live performance of ‘Cowboy Like Me’.
Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott admitted he “mouthed off” too much when he said that Bryan Adams’ 1991 album “Waking Up the Neighbours” sounded too much like his own band. Both acts worked with producer Mutt Lange at the time. “I got into trouble with this one. I thought it sounded a bit close to the bone. Bryan was a bit peeved with me – and…he should have been.”

Kelly Clarkson has announced 10 Las Vegas shows in celebration of her new album, “Chemistry”. The talk show host will appear at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood between July 28th and August 19th. She wrote on Instagram, “I’ll be singing all of your favorites… and yes, I’ll be singing some new ones, too!”
AJ McLean and his wife Rochelle McLean are taking some time apart after 11 years of marriage. The estranged couple told US Weekly in a statement, “Marriage is hard, but worth it. Drizzy was supposed to headline the festival in São Paulo, Brazil on Sunday. Martin Scorsese’s latest historical drama about murders of native people over oil-rich land will be released in late October. The movie is based on a hit book with the same title—“Killers of the Flower Moon”—and the film will star Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro.
