Jerry Springer, one of the most influential and controversial figures in TV history, has died at 79. The “Jerry Springer Show” host passed away peacefully at his Chicago home yesterday. Jerry, who also served Mayor of Cincinnati from 1977-78, had been diagnosed with cancer a few months ago.
Bob Odenkirk has signed on to guest star in the new season of “The Bear”. FX has not shared any details on what character Bob will play in season 2 of the series, he will be appearing in the new season in some way. Season 2 of “The Bear” will be out in June.
The “Fast & Furious” franchise just got even bigger. “Fast X” is now going to be two movies, with Part 2 coming in 2025, Vin Diesel announced at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. “Fast X” races into theaters May 19.

Queen’s Freddie Mercury’s close friend Mary Austin plans to auction a collection of 1,500 items that once belonged to him, including handwritten lyrics and stage costumes. Freddie built up the collection over 30 years and kept everything at his home in London. All 1,500 items will go on display at Sotheby’s in London this summer.
John Krasinski is working on a movie about imaginary friends called “If”. It has a crazy voice cast that includes Matt Damon, Jon Stewart, Emily Blunt, Steve Carell, Ryan Reynolds, Awkwafina, and Vince Vaughn.
There’s a Christmas slasher movie in the works called “It’s a Wonderful Knife”. It’s about a woman who saves her town from a serial killer, then wishes she was never born. Obviously, it’s a horror take on “It’s a Wonderful Life”.
Lance Bass says the guys in ‘N Sync got famous, but they didn’t get rich. Because their crooked manager Lou Pearlman and the record company, quote, “took the majority of our stuff.”
Dolly Parton says Mick Jagger will NOT be on her upcoming rock album. She tried but couldn’t make it happen. No hard feelings though. She loves Mick “no matter what,” and she’s “always had a crush on him.”
Rihanna announced at CinemaCon that she’ll voice Smurfette and perform original music for an untitled animated “Smurfs” movie. It was also revealed that Chris Rock will have a cameo in “PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie”.
Longest-running live-action comedy series, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”, premieres its 16th season on June 7th on FXX.
Madonna’s “Finally Enough Love: The Rainbow Edition” will be reissued on June 23rd. The new 6-LP-vinyl version of the remix collection will include 50 #1 club hits. Across 220 minutes of remixes, the chronological set takes listeners from her 1983 breakout “Holiday” to 2019’s “I Don’t Search I Find.” The special box set was designed in rainbow-colored vinyl to celebrate Pride Month in June.
Jason Derulo has released his long awaited new single, “Glad U Came.” Through a press release he called it one of his favorite songs that he’s ever recorded. He describes it as a “beautiful love story about the power of destiny.”
