The nominations for the BET Awards were released. Drake led the pack with seven nominations including Album of the Year for ‘Her Loss’. GloRilla scored six nods being nominated twice in the Best Collaboration category. 21 Savage and Lizzo both received five nominations a piece. The BET Awards take place Sunday, June 25th.

It dethroned “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” which brought in about $55 million, after holding the #1 spot on its opener the weekend before.
“Young Rock” has been canceled at NBC after 3 seasons. Starring Dwayne Johnson, Young Rock focuses on different chapters of Dwayne’s life. NBC also revealed on Friday the cancellation of “Grand Crew”, while a decision has yet to be made on the future of “American Auto”.
Rolling Stones’ former bassist Bill Wyman has reportedly recorded a new song with the group, more than 30 years after leaving the group. The 86-year-old will make a cameo on the Stones’ upcoming album, on a tune written as a tribute to late drummer Charlie Watts, who died in Aug. 2021.
Heart’s Nancy Wilson has revealed she’s working on new music with her sister Ann. The two have been at odds with each other in recent years, but with the group’s 50th anniversary this year, Nancy says they will be “finishing some new material” at the end of her current solo tour.

Carrie Underwood is going to release a Deluxe Edition of her “Denim & Rhinestones” album. It’ll have six new tracks and it’ll be out September 22nd.
Taylor Swift donated to Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan last week, ahead of her two nights performing at Detroit’s Ford Field. The food bank announced the donation via facebook, sharing a quote from the singer, “No matter what happens in life, be good to people.” As the Detroit Free Press reported, her donation amount was not disclosed, but was described as “generous.”
“The White Lotus” creator Mike White announced during a press conference at the Vivid Sydney Festival that a prequel featuring Jennifer Coolidge’s character Tanya McQuoid is “absolutely” a possibility. “We were just talking about that. It’s a funny idea,” he said. Like Harrison Ford in the new “Indiana Jones” movie, Mike suggested “making Jennifer 20 years younger.”
