Jamie Foxx is back. The actor has been seen throughout Chicago after weeks of speculation about his condition after a medical emergency. The latest sighting took place on Tuesday. According to TMZ, he was playing pickleball. Other Chicago sightings found him on a boat, hitting golf balls, and returning a lost purse to a woman.
EA is developing what it calls “an original, third-person, single-player ‘Black Panther’ game” in partnership with Marvel Games and Cliffhanger Games. A release date for the game hasn’t been announced as of this time.
Tom Cruise surprised fans by appearing at a matinée screening of “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” in Toronto. Introducing the film, Tom told the audience, “We dream of these moments to make these films for you and for you all to see it on this kind of format. It really is such an honor to entertain you, and I’m just so happy to see everybody here.” He then posed for pictures with fans!
The “Barbie” movie will be released in The Philippines, following a review by the country’s film censors. Last week, the film was banned in Vietnam over its inclusion of a scene with a map alleged to show the ‘nine dash line’ by which China lays claim to nearly all the South China Sea. Vietnam says that China’s claims violate its sovereignty, and that films and TV shows must not show the map.
Slash and Wolfgang Van Halen appear on the “Barbie” movie’s star-studded soundtrack. Slash lends his talents to ‘I’m Just Ken’, written by Mark Ronson and sung by Ryan Gosling, who portrays Ken in the movie. Van Halen tweeted that he plays on the same song, plus a “lot of textural stuff throughout the film.
Rod Stewart wrapped up his UK tour in Edinburgh by performing a surprise duet – with his 94-year-old sister, Mary. Monday, the 78-year-old singer and his sister performed the 1975 hit ‘Sailing’, with their arms around one other, as the audience cheered them on.
The Emmy nominees were announced yesterday, and HBO has the top three shows. “Succession” got the most nominations with 27. It was followed by “The Last of Us” with 24 and “The White Lotus” with 23.

Reba McEntire is celebrating her new lifestyle book with a one-night event called “Not That Fancy: An Evening with Reba & Friends” in Nashville this November. Her former “Reba” co-star Melissa Peterman will host, but no word who her other guests are. She also joked that some of her dance moves on “Reba” are TikTok-worthy. Reba posted a throwback clip from the show that says, quote, “When they tell you to make TikTok dances.” In her caption she asked, quote, “Does this count?”
You might recognize a couple of famous names in Morgan Wade’s new song “80’s Movie”. Her favorite movie from the 1980s is “Dirty Dancing” . . . and she references “baby” and “Swayze” in the lyrics. It’ll be on her new album “Psychopath”, which is out August 25th.
Shania Twain is releasing special 25th anniversary editions of “Come On Over” on August 25th. Taste of Country reports that the lengthy track list will be completely remastered from the original recordings. The 1997 release remains the top selling country album and the highest-selling album by a female artist of all time.
Foo Fighters guitarist, Chris Shiflett will release a solo album this fall. In recent weeks, he’s been sharing snips of new music online. It was recorded mostly in Nashville, and according to Blabbermouth.com, has a “honky-tonk-meets-rock-and-roll” sound. “Lost At Sea” will be out on October 20.
Variety spoke with Tom Cruise about the movie he plans to film in space. Tom said they didn’t have a production start date yet, but that they are “working on it diligently.” He added, “We’ll see where we go.” Writer and director Christopher McQuarrie told the outlet they are getting started on “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two” as soon as the press tour is over for Part One.
