Taylor Swift’s song “Cruel Summer” has finally reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, four years and two months after it first appeared on the chart in 2019. The track has been back in the top 10 since July, but just last week it had fallen to No. 9, after previously reaching a peak of No. 3.
Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater enjoyed a rare night out, wining and dining together. The PDA date night went down Saturday night in NYC. Eyewitnesses say the two love birds were spotted at the MO Lounge within the luxurious Mandarin Oriental hotel in the heart of Manhattan. Sources say Ariana was the one showing more affection. ‘James Bond’ fans will have to wait a while to see who the next ‘007’ will be, according to producer Barbara Broccoli. In an interview Broccoli shared that executives “haven’t even begun” modernizing the franchise, and there is a “big road ahead” before the Bond character is “reinvented for the next chapter.”

No, Freddy Krueger’s sweater in “A Nightmare on Elm Street” is NOT red and green because of Christmas. And it wasn’t a random choice, either. Director Wes Craven chose that color combination because of SCIENCE. He read in a scientific article that the combo is the most difficult for the human eye to see, so he figured it would make even Freddy’s clothes uncomfortable to watch. Not to get TOO science-y on you, but the combinations of red with green and yellow with blue are considered “forbidden colors.”
By the time the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things” starts filming, those kids are gonna be collecting social security. But that’s nothing to worry about, according to producer-director Shawn Levy. He says, quote, “This passage of time is definitely not helping. That being said, our hair and makeup and wardrobe department are pretty exceptional, using costumes and wigs and makeup. We’re going to use all the tools available to us. And I know our cast is as eager to get back to work as the rest of us.”

Kelly Clarkson has added new dates to her “Chemistry: An Intimate Night With Kelly Clarkson” residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, with shows now set for New Years (Dec. 30 and Dec. 31) and Super Bowl Weekend (Feb. 9 and 10). “I’m coming back Vegas!” Kelly wrote on Instagram yesterday.
Blink-182’s “One More Time” tour, will cross over North America next summer. Dates have been announced and it kicks off in Orlando on June 20. The 30-city trek includes stadium performances in their hometown of San Diego, as well as Boston, Toronto, Detroit, Denver, and San Antinio. The new North American trek will follow a string of international dates.
Netflix dropped the official trailer for “Squid Game: The Challenge”, a reality game show based on the hit Korean drama. Watch as 456 contestants compete in Squid Game-style challenges for a $4.56 million prize. The series will premiere on Netflix on November 22nd.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the eighth film in the “Mission: Impossible” franchise will be released in 2025 instead of 2024, amid the ongoing actors strike. The exact release date is set for May 23, 2025, compared to the former release date of June 28, 2024. It will also no longer be titled “Dead Reckoning, Part Two”. A different title is expected.
