A tentative deal was reached yesterday to end the actors’ strike after 118 days. There’s no word yet on the details. The union’s national board will vote on it tomorrow.
The first trailer for the movie adaptation of the “Mean Girls” musical has officially arrived, so “get in loser, we’re going back to Northshore”. The footage not only introduces the new Plastics, it also contains plenty of moments from the original movie — and even an easter egg for the stage production. It will hit theaters on January 12.

The Weeknd has postponed the Australia and New Zealand leg of his “After Hours Til Dawn Tour.” An email to ticket buyers says: “Due to unforeseen circumstances” the dates must be rescheduled, and new dates “will be announced next year.” He was scheduled to play 11 shows in Brisbane, Sydney Melbourne, and Auckland, starting November 20.

Shortly after Nintendo announced this week that it’s developing a live action “The Legend Of Zelda” movie, Machine Gun Kelly shared a screengrab of an article to his Instagram Story and insisted that he should be the star. “if I don’t play Link we have a problem,” MGK wrote, referencing the video-game series’ main character.
AP News reports that the theme for next year’s Met Gala is … “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.” The theme is inspired by the forthcoming exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which will feature 250 pieces from the Costume Institute’s permanent collection. The star-studded event is set to take place on May 6th, 2024.
Paramount dropped the official trailer for the “Mean Girls” musical remake. Creator Tina Fey will be reprising her role as Ms. Norbury from the original 2004 film, alongside Tim Meadows as Principal Duvall. New cast members include Jenna Fischer, Jon Hamm, Busy Philipps, Renee Rapp, Auli’i Cravalho, and Jaquel Spivey. The movie will hit theaters on January 12th.
Ghostbusters are returning to New York City for the franchise’s latest film. Sony released the official trailer for “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire”, which shows Paul Rudd and the gang from “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” fighting a ghost called the “death chill.” This new villain covers the city in ice during the middle of the summer. It will debut in theaters on March 29th.
