Jo Koy has been named the host of the 2024 Golden Globes. The Globes have been hosted in previous years by Jerrod Carmichael, Tiny Fey, Amy Poehler, and Ricky Gervais. The Golden Globes air on CBS on Sunday, January 7th.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the shortlists in 10 categories for the upcoming 96th Oscars ceremony. Overall, Barbie had the most mentions with five. Other movies with strong showings include Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon. Several pics ,including, Oppenheimer, The Color Purple, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Poor Things, and Napoleon, are tied with three each. The official nominees will be named on Jan. 23.
