The new version of “The Office” has been given the green light at Peacock. It won’t be a reboot or spinoff — but a fresh mockumentary series with a different cast set in the same universe. Plot details have been revealed, introducing a documentary crew searching for a subject and stumbling upon a struggling Midwestern newspaper and its publisher.
