Janet Jackson kicked off her latest tour this week. Fans were surprised to hear Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” in a dance break for her smash hit “Nasty”. Witnesses at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs caught the dance on video, and it went viral.
It’s official: “Deadpool & Wolverine” has been rated R. It’s not rated R for sex and nudity, but for “strong bloody violence and language throughout, gore, and sexual references.” This will be the first Deadpool film under the Disney umbrella. The rating comes in ahead of the movie’s release in theaters on July 26.
Dua Lipa is back on tour. The superstar just kicked off her ‘Radical Optimism’ summer tour in Berlin, Germany. Dua Lipa will make stops across North America, Europe, and Asia with some US summer festivals including Austin City Limits and Glastonbury Festival. The tour wraps up in Seoul, South Korea in December.
Ice Spice’s “Y2K” debut is one of the most anticipated albums of the year and she finally dropped the release date. Ice Spice announced that her debut album will be arriving on July 26. “HIIIII >.< Y2K ☆ THE ALBUM WILL BE DROPPING JULY 26TH !!!! pre-save the link in my bio now **,” she captioned the post on social media along with the “Y2K” cover art.
The surviving members of the Queen are rumored to be in talks with Sony to sell their catalog for $1 billion! If the sale goes through, it will double the most expensive music catalog sold to date: Bruce Springsteen’s for $550 million. It’s not clear if Queen will sell just their music or sell their rights to merch to Sony, too.
Are Ben and J-Lo selling their mansion? The divorce rumors surrounding Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have ramped up after Zillow added photos of their $60 million mansion. Pics of the couple’s Beverly Hills home have been added to the realtor site — although the couple only purchased the lavish property in May 2023. The new photos of the home’s interior were uploaded to the website on June 1 and 5, however, the mansion is still listed as “sold”.
Patricia Heaton is returning to TV with a guest-starring arc in the second season of the Paramount+ series “Frasier”. She’ll play ‘Holly’, a down-to-earth, unpretentious, Boston native who tends bar, and whom ‘Kelsey’s Grammar’s character ‘Frasier’ finds as alien as he does attractive.
Jelly Roll and wife Bunnie Xo are trying to have a baby. He revealed that she has started IVF treatments, but the couple are exploring all options. Bunnie Xo does not have kids, but she helps raise Jelly Roll’s teen daughter Bailee, and is actively involved with his son Noah.
Suzanne Collins will release a new book in the “Hunger Games” series. “Sunrise On The Reaping”, which takes place 24 years before the original novel and 40 years after the most recent installment “The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes”, will be released March 18 of 2025. Lionsgate already has plans to adapt the book into a film, scheduled for release on November 20th, 2026.
Here’s another name to add to the LONG list of celebrities who’ve gone Swiftie on us: Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day. He attended an Eras Tour show earlier this week in France. In an Instagram post, he said, quote, “Great production. Great voice. Great entertainer. Great songwriting. Crazy crowd. People even shared with me some friendship bracelets. Thanks a million Taylor Swift.”
Morgan Wallen set a new record for most weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the 2020s. He’s been at the top for a non-consecutive 19 weeks. His song “Last Night” was at #1 for 16 weeks, and “I Had Some Help” featuring Post Malone has been #1 for three weeks. He surpasses the previous record of 18 weeks, which is tied by Taylor Swift and Roddy Ricch.
Dolly Parton shared insight into her plans to turn her life’s story into a Broadway musical. The production is called, “Hello, I’m Dolly”, and it will eventually make it to the Broadway stage sometime in 2026. Dolly is co-writing the new musical with Maria S. Schlatter, who previously worked with the singer on the 2020 Netflix movie, “Christmas on the Square”.
Sega has announced “The Angry Birds Movie 3”, with Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad returning to voice Red and Chuck. Release date and additional casting details are pending. The first two films grossed a combined $500 million.
The San Francisco home featured as the Tanners’ house in “Full House” is listed for $6.5 million. The 3,700-square-foot home, built in 1900, has 11-foot ceilings, original molding, and two fireplaces. It sold for $5.4 million in 2020.
Universal Studios will include a haunted house based on “A Quiet Place” at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando and Hollywood. The attraction will incorporate American Sign Language due to the films’ focus on silence.
