Joe Jonas’s next solo music era post-divorce is here! Joe announced his new solo song on social media. “Work It Out. July 19th!!! Presave now 🫶😁 ,” he captioned the post. He followed it up with a video clip sharing a snippet of the song. The clip’s text read, “I’m both excited and emotional as I’m gearing up to release new music.”
NBA champion Jayson Tatum will wear the No. 10 for Team USA in the upcoming Summer Olympics, the same jersey number worn by Kobe Bryant at the 2008 and 2012 Games. Jayson, who just won his first title with the Boston Celtics in June, said wearing No. 10 after Kobe is “nothing short of an honor.”
X, owned by billionaire Elon Musk, says its seen growth in both users and engagement month over month as it tries to attract advertisers. The platform formerly known as Twitter claims 570 million people are now logging into X every month, an increase of 6% year-over-year. Execs wouldn’t comment on X’s daily users, where its been stuck at 250 million since the end of 2022.
Mary J Blige is following up on her promise to deliver new music. On Tuesday, MJB posted on Instagram, “Black Butterfly. New music coming soon.” Back in April, Mary told PEOPLE, “It’s probably my last studio album.”
DreamWorks Animation confirmed that the long-awaited fifth “Shrek” film will debut in theaters everywhere on July 1, 2026. In addition, Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, and Eddie Murphy are all on board to reprise their famous roles as Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey, respectively. Antonio Banderas’ return as the feisty feline Puss in Boots is not yet confirmed.
A$AP Rocky and his adorable 2-year-old son, RZA, whom he shares with partner Rihanna, are starring in the latest Savage X Fenty campaign. “A$AP Rocky in the Classics by Savage X Fenty” the brand captioned the father-son ad campaign on IG. The two match in black undershirts with matching underwear from the intimates line. In the photo, RZA adorably looks at the camera as he sits on his dad’s shoulders.
Eddie Murphy’s “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” has debuted as Netflix’s most-watched title of the week. After arriving on July 3, the action comedy scored a whopping 41 million views during the week of July 1, ranking as both the most-watched title and movie of the week, and hitting the top 10 most-watched movies in 93 countries.
Dropping today is Sabrina Carpenter’s appearance on the YouTube show “Hot Ones”, which features celebs answering questions while eating progressively spicier chicken wings. She has also released the track list for her upcoming album “Short n’ Sweet”, out August 23. Oddly, it features no collabs with other artists.
BTS will be featured in a K-pop-themed interactive exhibit at the Grammy Museum in LA. Running August 2 – September 15, “HYBE: We Believe in Music, A Grammy Museum Exhibit” chronicles the history of HYBE, which is home to BTS, SEVENTEEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPHEN, and more.
Hootie & the Blowfish’s Daruis Rucker told Rolling Stone that in addition to his summer tour with the band and his solo country career, he’s working on a rock supergroup project with Mike Mills (ex-REM) and Steve Gorman (ex-Black Crowes). Part 2 of Kevin Costner’s “Horizon: An American Saga” will not hit theaters next month as planned. Since the first movie bombed, they’re hoping to give it more time to catch on with audiences.
Cypress Hill announced that they are fulfilling a nearly three-decades old “The Simpsons” prediction by finally performing with the London Symphony Orchestra. During the shows’ beloved 1996 episode, “Homerpalooza,” Cypress Hill accidentally booked the London Symphony Orchestra to perform with them at the festival, “possibly while high.” Cypress Hill did perform with the LSO at the Royal Albert Hall in London this week.
John Mulaney and Olivia Munn got married in an intimate ceremony over the weekend at a friend’s home in New York, with only their 2-year-old son and a witness in attendance. The couple first started dating in 2021 and announced they were expecting a child in September of that year.
