The Weeknd is up to something. He released a video on Instagram featuring new music and imagery from his career. The new visuals suggest that The Weeknd is working on a new project and possibly the end of a trilogy that includes his albums “After Hours” and “Dawn FM”.
Fort Worth youth now have a place where they can make music and perform, thanks to Kane Brown. The country singer donated a new studio to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant Country. Kane worked with MLB’s Together All-Star Legacy effort to rebuild the club’s facilities, including a multi-purpose gym.

Madonna’s biopic is back in the works, 18 months after news broke that it wasn’t moving forward. Plans for the project with Universal fell through in January 2023, but on Insta, Madge shared pics of her working on the script, and one of the shots shows a potential title: “Who’s That Girl”, a nod to her 1987 hit song and film of the same name.
Billy Joel could be adding an Emmy to his trophy case. He earned a nomination for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-recorded) for his CBS special “Billy Joel: The 100th – Live at Madison Square Garden”. The final show of his MSG residency is this Thursday, July 25.
Lionel Richie might win an Emmy as producer of “The Greatest Night in Pop”. The documentary about the making of the charity single ‘We Are the World’ was nominated for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special, as well as Outstanding Directing for a Documentary/Nonfiction Program. The Emmy Awards are set for September 15.
Garth Brooks will be inducted into the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame during a 50th anniversary special on September 5. The event will take place at the home of Austin City Limits, the Moody Theater in downtown Austin TX . He is scheduled to perform as a part of the festivities.
“Twisters”, the sequel to the 1996 film “Twister”, made an impressive $80.5 million to secure the top spot at the weekend box office. This debut ranks as the third highest of the year, just behind “Inside Out 2” with $154 million and “Dune: Part Two” with $82 million.

Luke Combs is the subject of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s new exhibit “Luke Combs: The Man I Am”. Among the items on display are: A yellow-and green #77 football jersey from his time at high school in Ashville NC – and playbills from the school’s productions of “Les Miserables”, “Beauty and the Beast”, and “Fiddler on the Roof”, all of which he was also a part of.
Luke Combs surprised the crowd at Friday’s show in New Jersey by bringing out the cast of “Twisters”. Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Anthony Ramos joined him onstage to shotgun a beer. As you’ve probably heard, Luke has a song on the “Twisters” soundtrack called “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma”.
Eminem’s new album, “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)”, debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart this week. This marks the 11th No. 1 album of Eminem’s celebrated career, as the rapper now ties Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Streisand, and Kanye West for the fifth-most No. 1 albums ever on the Billboard 200, behind only the Beatles (19 No. 1s), Jay-Z and Taylor Swift (each with 14) and Drake (13).
NBC has ordered an official “Suits” spin-off, “Suits LA”, starring Stephen Amell. There is currently no release date for the show, but the ensemble cast will also have Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, Bryan Greenberg and Troy Winbush.
CBS will air “Bob Newhart: A Legacy of Laughter”, a one-hour tribute special honoring the late comedian who passed away at 94. The special, hosted by Nichelle Turner, will air on Paramount+ and CBS at 8pm tonight.
