Lady Gaga has given fans a hint of where she is going on her upcoming album. Speaking to Vogue, she said they can expect “a darker style of pop,” as well as “fantasies” and “escapes.” She also said “The album is chaotic from a genre perspective — it is genre-bending, and I think in that way is a deeply personal look into my mind as a producer and the way I think about music.”
CBS has set a date for “The Talk‘s” very last conversation. The long-running chat show will kick off its final week of episodes on December 16, and the series finale will air December 20. While guests have not yet been announced, hosts Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell, and Sheryl Underwood all will be on hand for a series of “big holiday giveaways” totaling $2.5 million throughout December.
A sequel to the Oscar-winning film “Slumdog Millionaire” could soon be in the works. Bridge7, a newly formed production banner, has secured film sequel and television rights. The 2008 Danny Boyle-directed feature, about a young man from an impoverished background who competes on India’s version of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?,” collected 8 Academy Awards, including best picture and director, with Dev Patel making his film debut as ‘Jamal’.
Band Aid’s new version of ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ is out, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the all-star charity single. The song was recorded on 3 separate occasions, in 1984, 2004 and 2014, and the new mix features parts of each. So, you’ll hear a young Sting sing alongside a young Ed Sheeran. A young Boy George, with a young Sam Smith, and a young George Michael with a young Harry Styles. And a young Bono with an older Bono!
Jim Abrahams, known for co-creating comedy classics like “Airplane!” and the “Naked Gun” films, has passed away at 80. Alongside the Zucker brothers, he also crafted hit comedies like “Top Secret!” and the “Hot Shots!” parodies.
Disney+ will premiere the new Star Wars series “Skeleton Crew” on December 2, a day before the initially announced date. The show features Jude Law as a mysterious character embarking on an adventure with four young individuals.
Sum 41 will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the JUNO Awards on March 30 in Vancouver. They join fellow inductees like Neil Young, Nickelback, Alanis Morissette, and Shania Twain, among others.
Paul McCartney attended the premiere of the new Disney+ documentary “Beatles ’64” in New York on Sunday. The film, captures the Fab Four’s first trip to the U.S. Also in attendance were John Lennon‘s son Sean Ono Lennon and George Harrison‘s widow, Olivia Harrison, and the film’s producer, Martin Scorsese. “Beatles ’64” will stream on Disney+ starting Friday.
Eagles have added even more dates to their Las Vegas Sphere residency. Four shows have been added to the first half of April. Tickets for the new shows go on sale through Eagles.com on December 3. The band has been performing at the Sphere since mid-October.
Flavor Flav brought so much love to the Paris Olympics and now has a role in the Los Angeles Olympics! The Public Enemy hip-hop legend sponsored the U.S. Women’s and Men’s Water Polo Teams for the summer games this year and will continue to support them through the 2028 Olympics. Flav shared some exciting Olympic news, “In 2028, when the Olympics come to L.A., your boy Flavor Flav is going to be able to carry the torch. It’s a bragging right!”
Rod Stewart is headlining the “Sunday teatime legend” slot at England’s Glastonbury Festival next year. The announcement comes just as Rod revealed he would no long go on “large scale world tours” after 2025. Headlining the festival 13 years ago, the 79-year-old told fans that he’s “proud, ready and more than able to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury”.
Universal Pictures confirmed that Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo were paid equally for their roles in “Wicked”, dispelling rumors that Ari received $15 million to play Glinda while Cynthia only received $1 million for portraying Elphaba. “Reports of pay disparity between Cynthia and Ariana are completely false and based on internet fodder,” a spokesperson said. “The women received equal pay for their work on ‘Wicked.’”
John Krasinski and Matthew Rhys will co-star in and executive produce a serial killer drama series called “Silent River” for Amazon Prime Video. John will direct the pilot along with additional episodes of the show, which follows two men with intertwined lives who uncover a serial killer lurking in a small-town American community.
This Netflix Christmas movie just got a musical upgrade! Ed Sheeran released a brand-new music video for his original song “Under The Tree,” for Netflix’s animated holiday film “That Christmas”. The movie premieres on Netflix on December 4. “That Christmas” is based on Richard Curtis’ children’s book series.
Move over, Kendrick! Travis Scott has pulled ahead. Travis Scott’s recent “Circus Maximus Tour” is the highest-earning Hip Hop solo tour ever. The tour that began in October 2023 made $210 million and sold 1.7 million tickets. Kendrick Lamar’s “Big Steppers Tour” was the previous record holder, bringing in $110 million. The highest-grossing Hip-Hop tour ever was Drake, J. Cole, and 21 Savage’s “It’s All A Blur Tour”, which made $320 million.
