Netflix‘s holiday thriller, “Carry On”, debuted this weekend and it quickly became the number 1 movie. In a recent Today Show appearance, Taron Egerton was asked if a sequel was in the works or even being thought of. Taron said, “It’s kind of like an extraordinary set of circumstances, so I think it would need a really innovative, creative idea to feel like a worthy idea for a sequel. But yes, why not? Sequels work for “Die Hard”, so who knows?”
Billie Eilish had an object thrown at her while performing. She was sitting cross-legged on stage in Glendale, Arizona, on Friday, when a bracelet struck her in the face as she performed her song “What Was I Made For?”. Billie is seen flinching and turning her head away from the crowd. Fans start booing, and Billie doesn’t look happy, but she jumps back her song, before casually tossing the object aside.
Jamie Foxx was involved in an altercation at the Los Angeles hotspot Mr. Chow during his birthday celebration Friday night. He was out with his family celebrating his 57th birthday. A witness says Jamie was being harassed by another party at the restaurant. When he asked the others to leave him alone because his family was present, someone at that table “allegedly threw the glass that hit him in the face.” The incident resulted in injuries that sent Jamie to the hospital to get stitches.
Shaboozey has officially made Google tipsy. After he won 3 Billboard Music Awards on Thursday, including Top Country Song for ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’, some people noticed that if you Google Shaboozey, the screen rocks back and forth for a few seconds before stabilizing…because it’s “tipsy”.
Ryan Bingham, the “Yellowstone” actor and singer/songwriter, dropped the new tune ‘A Song for the Stone’, which he wrote for last night’s “Yellowstone” series finale.
“Hot Ones” host Sean Evans is now a key stakeholder in First We Feast, the studio that produces his popular celebrity interview series. Buzzfeed reportedly sold the studio for $82.5 million in cash to a group of buyers which included Sean Evans. “Hot Ones” will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year and will officially kick things off with its “Annual Hot One’s Holiday Extravaganza” on December 19.
Disney’s “Moana 2” is still at the top of the box charts, with an estimated weekend gross of $27 million domestically. Meanwhile, “Kraven the Hunter” and “Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim” basically failed to launch. “Wicked” came second at the box office over the weekend, with about $22 million.
Life is about to become unfair all over again. Disney+ has ordered a limited 4-episode “Malcolm in the Middle” revival, with original series stars Frankie Muniz, Jane Kaczmarek and Bryan Cranston all returning.
After previously shutting down the idea, Sarah Michelle Gellar is now open to returning to the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” universe. On “The Drew Barrymore Show,” Sarah shared that she has been considering reprising her role as ‘Buffy’ in a potential project.
Taylor Swift’s YouTube channel suddenly made available a series of behind-the-scenes clips documenting the making of many of her recent videos. The footage includes shots of her directing stars such as Laura Dern, Ethan Hawke, Post Malone, the HAIM sisters, Taylor Lautner and Joey King, Ice Spice, Dita Von Teese, and Mike Birbiglia.
Billy Idol’s guitarist Steve Stevens confirms that they are working on Billy’s first new album since 2014, expected next year. “In some respects, it’s a return to the aggressive punk rock. Nobody does late ’70s, early ’80s punk better than Billy Idol.”
Bruce Springsteen and Rolling Stones were among the top worldwide touring acts of 2024, according to a new report by Pollstar. While Taylor Swift topped the list, grossing over $1 billion, Springsteen landed at #5, bringing in over $250 million from 44 shows. The Stones are #6, grossing over $235 million. Metallica is at #9 and Madonna #10.
Jennifer Love Hewitt will reprise her role as Julie James in the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” reboot, with Freddie Prinze Jr. also returning. The movie has already begun filming and is scheduled to be released July 18.
Warner Bros. won’t renew its “Sesame Street” deal with HBO and Max, although older episodes will still be available to stream. “Sesame Workshop” is shopping for a new home for its 56th season, planning to introduce a new format.
