“Squid Game” is returning to Netflix sooner than you might have thought. The Korean smash will return for its third and final season on June 27, following the major cliffhanger that Season 2 ended on. The June return is just 6 months after season 2 launched on the streamer on Boxing Day.
“Little House on the Prairie” is getting a reboot. Netflix has greenlighted a new version of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s iconic 1930s book series, after the 1970s drama enjoyed a stunning resurgence on Peacock recently. “Little House” was first adapted into a TV series in 1974, centering on the adventures of the Ingalls family, who lived on a farm in 1800s Minnesota. The show lasted 9 seasons, concluding on May 10, 1982.
Netflix will proceed with the talent discovery show “Building The Band”, despite the unfortunate passing of judge Liam Payne. It’s not clear how Liam’s absence will be managed on the show, but a tribute is likely in the first episode.

John Mulaney‘s new live talk show has set its debut and its self-explanatory title, “Everybody’s Live in L.A. With John Mulaney”. The new show is set to launch on March 12. “We will be live globally with no delay,” John said at a press event. “We will never be relevant. We will never be your source for news. We will always be reckless. Netflix will always provide us with data that we will ignore.”
A Netflix show called “Building the Band”, which featured Liam Payne as one of the judges, will air despite Liam’s death. Netflix made the announcement after ongoing discussions with his family.
Will Smith and Big Sean have collaborated on the just-released new song, “Beautiful Scars,” along with a Matrix-inspired music video for the track. Will has also announced a March 2025 release date for his upcoming solo album, “Based on a True Story”, marking his first full-length album release in over 20 years.
Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres World Tour” has just broken Taylor Swift‘s record for the most-attended concert tour of all time. Coldplay’s ongoing tour has now sold over 10.3 million tickets, surpassing Taylor’s 10.1 million attendees for her just concluded “The Eras Tour”. Coldplay’s record-setting ticket sales were boosted when the band played the largest stadium show of the 21st century in Ahmedabad, India, on January 25-26, drawing over 223,000 fans over the two historic nights.
Miramax is reimagining the 1998 sci-fi cult favorite “The Faculty”, with original director Robert Rodriguez returning to produce. The original film, written by Kevin Williamson (“Scream”), focused on high school students uncovering a dark secret about their teachers and administrators, featuring a star-studded cast including Jordana Brewster, Clea DuVall, Josh Hartnett, and Elijah Wood.
Matthew Lillard, who played one of the two killers in “Scream”, and Scott Foley, who played the killer (and Sydney’s half-brother) in “Scream 3”, will both return to the franchise in “Scream 7”, despite their characters being dead.
An Eddie Murphy documentary will debut on Netflix later this year. The film is titled “Eddie”. In the doc, he will look back at his extraordinary career and look forward to what is next. The release date was not given.
