Marc Maron has announced that he and producer Brendan McDonald have decided to end “WTF With Marc Maron,” the groundbreaking podcast that helped define the medium. It launched in 2009. Amazon has announced the cast for Mike Flanagan’s TV series adaptation of Stephen King’s “Carrie”, with Samantha Sloyan as the religiously zealous mother Margaret White. The series will star Summer H. Howell as the titular misfit teen with telekinetic powers and is set to begin filming an 8-episode first season this summer.
Amazon MGM Studios has acquired the rights to adapt the hit video game “Split Fiction” into a film. The movie will be directed by Jon M. Chu and star Sydney Sweeney. The game, which blends fantasy and science fiction, follows a pair of authors trapped in the worlds they created and has been a critical and commercial success.
