Brandy and Monica have announced a new tour. “The Boy Is Mine Tour” is scheduled for later this year. The two talented artists teamed for their classic hit “The Boy Is Mine” 26 years ago. Kelly Rowland, Muni Long, and “American Idol” winner Jamal Roberts will be joining Brandy and Monica on the road. The tour kicks off in October.
Johnny Knoxville will host the next generation of “Fear Factor”. The former “Jackass” star has been chosen to emcee “Fear Factor: The New Chapter” for Fox. The original show was on NBC from 2001 to 2006 and was hosted by Joe Rogan. The show was brought back on MTV for two seasons in 2017 and emceed by Ludacris.
Shane Gillis has been chosen to host this year’s ESPY Awards. Every year, the ESPN award show “recognizes major sports achievements, remembers unforgettable moments, and honors the leading performers and performances.” Shane said, “I’m excited to be at The ESPYS this year. I like sports, so this should be a good time.” The ESPYs take place on July 16.
In a new interview Alanis Morissette admitted to several addictions, or “relief-seeking measures that kill you eventually”, including 4 she described as “Whac-a-mole addictions”: work, love, sex, and shopping. She said that overwork is her strongest addiction, “because work addiction is also called the praise addiction.”
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of one of the most iconic concerts in history, ‘Live Aid’, the UK classic hits radio network Greatest Hits Radio will re-broadcast the legendary 1985 benefit concert in a 10-hour special airing July 13. “Live Aid Relived” will feature the recorded performances of acts like Queen, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, The Who, and more.
The Lemonheads have announced their first album of all-new original material in almost 2 decades. “Love Chant” drops on October 24. They also announced a world tour beginning in London in August, with North American dates beginning in November.
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez are throwing themselves a multi-day wedding celebration in Venice this week, and it hasn’t been going over so well with the locals. A group called No Space for Bezos has been protesting HARD, and they even forced a change in venue for a big day-after party he’s hosting on Saturday. But Jeff and Lauren are trying to make good with the people. Their wedding invitation says they want NO GIFTS, and instead, the couple will make donations to local charities in their guests’ honor.
Post Malone is a man of many talents. And apparently one of them is falling while holding a drink. He was performing “Pour Me a Drink” in Glendale, Arizona on his “Big Ass Stadium Tour” and he was trying to clink his cup with a fan, when he took a tumble off the stage. But he rolled out of it and came up with the drink still upright. Now that is some serious concentration.
Netflix has renewed its romantic Western drama series “Ransom Canyon” for a second season. The show, starring Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly, is based on Jodi Thomas‘ books and set in Texas Hill Country. Production on the new season is expected to begin in September, with the original cast set to return, except for James Brolin.
Whoopi Goldberg is taking a break from “The View” to travel to Italy, where she is receiving an award for her book “Bits and Pieces”. The show’s co-host Joy Behar announced that she will be out for about two weeks as “The View” takes a summer hiatus around the July 4 holiday.
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee Furness have finalized their divorce after 27 years of marriage. Deborra-Lee filed for divorce in May 2023, indicating the terms were uncontested. The couple, who share two adult children, announced their separation in September 2023, stating their family would remain their “highest priority” as they navigated this transition.
Aaron Rodgers thinks this NFL season might be his last. In a conversation with Pat McAfee, the new Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback said, “I’m pretty sure this is my last season and that’s why we did the one-year deal.” Rodgers added, “I’ve played twenty years and I’ve enjoyed it.. There’s no better way to finish it than with Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers.” Rodgers is 41 years old.
