ABC wants to create the next big TV music competition series, and it has turned to a maestro of the genre to try out a new format. The Disney-owned network has set Simon Cowell as a judge on a test taping of “Who’s In The Band”, a talent search for the next One Direction. Simon will judge alongside a panel that includes Joe Jonas, Mel B, and songwriter Savan Kotecha.
“Wedding Crashers” is returning to theaters for its 20th anniversary. Fathom Entertainment has partnered with Warner Bros. Pictures to bring the R-rated comedy back to the big screen on December 4 and 11. The 20th anniversary special release will include an additional 10 minutes of deleted scenes originally featured on the film’s 2006 home entertainment edition.

Austin would be James “Sonny” Crockett, while Michael would be in the role of Ricardo “Rico” Tubbs. “Miami Vice” debuted as a television series in the 1980s. A 2006 movie starred Colin Farrell as Crockett and Jamie Foxx as Tubbs.

Taylor Swift’s “The Life of a Showgirl” notches a third consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, following 194,000 equivalent album units earned over the past seven days, down 43% from the previous week. “The Life of a Showgirl” becomes only the second album in 2025 to spend its first three weeks at No. 1, following Morgan Wallen’s “I’m the Problem”, which spent its first eight weeks atop the chart beginning in May.
“Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc” generated $17.2 million across North American cinemas, enough to land at No. 1 in the weekend box office race. This marks Crunchyroll’s second consecutive triumph after September’s unexpected hit “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle”. “Black Phone 2” dropped to second position, earning $13 million while experiencing a 52% decrease from its opening weekend.
Fans have launched a campaign urging Disney to revive Steven Soderbergh and Adam Driver’s project “The Hunt For Ben Solo”. Soderbergh wrote on Bluesky that he “did not enjoy lying about the existence” of the film but kept it secret until now. He added that Lucasfilm President Kathy Kennedy told him Disney had never before turned down a completed script.
New Edition, Boyz II Men, and Toni Braxton are going on tour next year. The powerhouse lineup will hit the road together starting in January 2026.
